That's because we operate under a banner of truth and tackling the hard stuff others won't.

Well your request is my task. Why do some people call it jam, while others call it conserve, not to mention the Yanks calling it jelly?

Lose to the Roos and we will see it hit the fan. I am putting on my protective poncho.

Brodie had a really good year with Freo, last year or the year before.

    Windsor says hi.
  13. Whoops!
  14. Don’t worry Neil, you still have my brilliant and wonderfully insightful posts to read.
  15. It would be very hard to argue against this view.
  16. We did and it failed, as Max was poor forward and BG was worse. The only thing you can criticise us fairly for in the BG saga, is not getting more from the Swans, who wanted him as their number 1, when we wanted him as our number 2, or number 1 with Max forward and also not picking him instead of Schache in that final. Would I love BG now, yes, but he wouldn't have stayed, unless Max retired.

The trading aspect of the deal was surprising, as they wanted him as their number 1 ruckman. It was a disappointing return for us on that basis, as I don’t think we even used the pick we received. Please correct me if I am wrong. JJ as a FA went for nothing. Very disappointing all around. Armed an opponent with 2 regular best 22 players for little return.

Fair enough. My vision is as you said, from the wing or on TV.

I am unsure if Stafford is to blame for our forward woes. Poor delivery from upfield is not his area. I have seen our forwards make space and be totally ignored, or a mis kick pass cruel them. Long bombs into the forward line are again not his area I would think. Do we blame Stafford for dropped marks, poor goal kicking maybe. There is more wrong with us than the forward coach.
  20. It was a full pace hip and shoulder to Snake Simmonds’ head, as he was bending down to get the ball. Could have killed him. Today it would have been 12 games minimum. It diminished Long as a player in my eyes.
  21. Richardson said the opposite. Said the Coaches wanted a bit of a statement and Leaders said no. Max our Captain is not an aggressive type and Tracc isn’t either, actually shaking Maynard’s hand and patting his head before the game. Viney may have not got the chance and has a shoulder injury, so maybe wise not to further hurt that. For the rest, they didn’t bother. I am sure Gus and his family would have been impressed, not! The difference in attitude between the sides is apparent, when you look at how they gang tackled Langdon for a lighthearted comment and then the quotes of Maynard that he was surprised he didn’t get any treatment. I don’t think anyone even tackled Maynard during the game. He certainly bumped a few of ours. It appears our game attitude has taken a big hit.
  22. Epic is a bit strong, given he wasn’t high picks lost by us. Maybe just a fail if he doesn’t make it with us. That is a common result with cheap pick ups.
  23. Like there was with Curnow. He went after Weid, as did McKay.
  24. I was trying to think of an argument against your post, but I can’t as I agree with it. Playing some young blokes might create some enthusiasm and that could generate a better feeling among the group. I just wonder if Goody set them free, if the team would play better. The fact that they don’t know instinctively what to do, makes them take that split second to decide and that is where the pressure kills their possession and their disposal, leading to turnovers and opposition scores. The bombing into the forward line just adds to the turnovers and further opposition scores. The lack of spirit is also evident. We look a shadow of the team of the last three years.
  25. I think Darling is 191 cms.
