Farewell Jesse Hogan

I think it is really about what we are left with after getting May. If it is pick 5 then fantastic, as that is a very good player, or the opener for more deals. No there it is.

Tyson has knocked back GC. Would need him to change his mind. If Tyson agreed, it would be more likely to be Tyson and 11 for May and KK and 39 to Roos for Preuss.

They obviously know what we will accept and are getting to that position and improving their own, by getting better later picks.

Probably Rozee as Lukosius and Rankine will be gone.

Hoping GC happy to do May for 11 then, plus maybe a sweetener to GC, so they can move on. That would leave us with 5 which would be great.

I think I said I would ask for 2 low picks and a player or another pick or whatever, but that was the opening price. Obviously that would then be negotiated down. I have since posted recently, about an hour ago, that I actually don't care what the deal is, as long as we ended up with May, KK and pick 5. We could then do what we wanted with pick 5. What I would be upset about, is a May for Hogan deal with nothing else. Of course I would be happy to upgrade our position. I am just not as in a hurry to fold and accept a poor offer as others on here. There is still time to do deals and I think the FD have it in hand atm. If we are at wednesday afternoon and nothing has happened, then that is a different scenario, which I am confident we would have prepared for with contingency plans.

Had his fingers crossed behind his back. I would say it's the missus that wants to go home.

GC would absolutely do it in a heartbeat.

You think Neale is worth Beams and pick 5?

So ignoring the analogies, are you saying you would be happy to get pick 5 and give it to GC for May and that is the end of the deal. May for Hogan. I would be very upset.

No, you would be in your Rolls Royce, as you haven't traded it in.

But you don't get the gun kid at 5 if you haven't got the pick. What I was saying is that obviously it is better to get more than less. Some on here are absolutely happy to fold and accept less. Of course it is a balance and I have faith in the FD to get a good deal, but surely we would prefer the best possible deal, rather than a quick one.

But we might be closer to a premiership by getting a better deal than you are happy to accept. For example, if we get May, lose Hogan, but say retain pick 5 and draft a gun kid, who comes in and plays every game and eventually adds another 200, that is a better result than not having that pick. So yes, you can be happy to get a commodore, if all you want is a car to get around, but getting a porsche is a better result.

No you wouldn't.

What, you don't think JM will run the deal past DL before accepting?

And we take pick 6 as well and clear him to them.

Disagree. If we don't get what we want he stays.

I wonder if Eagles will pounce and tell Jesse to stay one more year and then they will have room and picks to get him and Kennedy will be nearly 34. That would be a real distraction to our year.

Farewell Dom Tyson
Real pity Dom doesn’t accept GC offer as it would make it easier to do the May deal without the Hogan deal. We might be able to get a better pick than we have by bundling other deals like Kent and AVB proceeds to give to GC . It would certainly take the pressure off the Hogan deal.
