I think it may be that we have to wait until a deal is done, unless you get the door stop trade week interviews, where they say there are discussions and he is one of them. We have become very good at not leaking.

They say it is better to give than receive.

Why would it have to be confirmed monday, trade week starts monday week?

They have already made it clear they don't want to have another will he go, won't he go year. It is so distracting.

Donโt think it takes 5-10 years to be able to judge a trade. 1-2 years in most cases.

Aaron vandenBerg not going - signs a new deal!!!
An 18 year old key position defender coming off an injury at his first year of AFL without a full pre season. Gee hard marker. He will be a fair player on what I have seen.

Bernie Vince Retires
He wasnโt playing early 2018 and I would think he would have been thrilled to make the 22 in the lead up to the finals.

Seriously doubt AVB was played out of position early in 2018.

We probably wonโt it, will most likely include KK. If May stays another year and then leaves and say GC finish 16th then GC would get pick 4 as compo. We wonโt be giving them anything like that and will get another player thrown in most likely.

I am already over it and to me Jesse is an opposition player apparently a Docker. All I care about now is what we get for him in the deal.

Frits back in and not much else at Casey and then Lever of course. That shows the need for changing the list.

Actually only 2 and a half weeks at most. Might know the full deal in 9 days.

One thing we can probably all agree on is that JH never really got a clear run at it, without something going on, be it family, his health and injuries. If he does get a clear run at it for the next 5-6 years, it is scary how good he could be. If anyone thinks we shouldn't be asking for the absolute most for him, you are seriously undervaluing his potential.

Then why post it as the latest news. I actually find those type of posts where people make something up as something they have heard, or fact, among the worst on DL.

Yes it does sound funny, but a poster suggested it was the latest news and I looked at a possible deal if it was true, which it probably isn't.

The AFL would love this and would do what they could to help a love child who is being picked on. The publicity alone of JH going to them would help get other players.

Sorry I said 2 and 3 earlier in the post and then made a mistake saying 3 and 5 later in the post . I have changed it.

But is he in our best 22. If JH doesn't go or May comes in and say KK plus Lever, is he in our best 22?

"All Reports" can be wrong.

This is not so stupid, even though it could be completely wrong, at this stage. First, GC could have raised it with us as a possible, if they can convince JH to come to them. We might have said we are happy to deal with them if they can convince JH. As I said above, they have May and KK we are rumoured to be interested in and importantly picks 2 and 3, when the Lynch compo is awarded to them. They have copped crap about losing players and if they were able to replace Lynch with JH, that would be huge for them. They would get an ambassador payment allowance and possibly be able to offer him $1.5m a year, over say 7 years, being $10.5 m. That would make JH a very rich boy and set him up for life. GC are rumoured to be into Lukosius and Rozee for those picks, but they are young and will need time. We could afford to pick them or others and develop them. If we could convince say Tyson to go to GC and maybe with more picks and/or players swapped, we could be looking at 2 and 3 and May and KK. That would be a super trade and probably the biggest one ever done. It would suit us and GC, as they would get a potential champion to replace a departing Captain or Captains, with other parts to the deal as well, probably including a couple of players who are ready to go for them. Of course if JH only wants to go to Freo, well it was a nice thought anyway.

That's because the coffee is better at McCafe.

Where is that coming from? TBH I would accept it if we got good picks and players we want and they have both. They could replace Lynch with a ready made potential champion and we could maybe persuade Tyson to go there as well to make the deal even more attractive for them. They will have picks 2 and 3. We are into May and KK. If JH is happy to go to GC then we know something else is behind the move. Also I think GC would get AFL help to get JH and he could get more money there than in Freo. He could become a very rich boy indeed and we could do a super trade.

Be careful Ethan, there is a lot of it out there and we don't want to tarnish your reputation as the number 1 trade news breaker, with fugazzi.

Well if that's true he would be entitled to leave on that alone. Same situation with Kent.
