GAMEDAY: Rd 01 vs Fremantle
Still flooding the contest and no one out. Dockers killing us in clearances because of it even though we are winning tap outs.

TEAMS: Rd 01 vs Fremantle
I am not so confident. We are weak up forward and will need Trac and Max to help there. We also have 2 slow players at the end of their careers, in a game that is now speed based. Hopefully Bowey and Laurie come on to fix that. I am however really excited for my boy JJ and hope this is the start of a long career with us. I am also keen to see my other project player HP return to the side. I think he is much better than most think. Go Dees. I will be there with my 4 year old grandson, who shares a first name with HP, at his first real footy match and am excited for him to hopefully see a Dees win.

Concerned
Not if it is only one more goal and we kick 7 points more than them.

Farewell Oscar McDonald
Good on you Bluey, I was waiting for this post. Maybe you could be the one to start the " We got rid of the wrong Mac" thread. The site needs a bit more fun.

James Jordon to Debut Round 1
I acknowledge all the fans on here who wanted him delisted during his first two years at the club. I am sure once again, they will get right behind him as one of their own, if he makes it with us. I repeat what I said in his first year with us. "Give him time, he will be a good player for us IMO."

PREGAME: Rd 01 vs Fremantle
And most of that paper ends up being used in a little room where the end result is usually a flush.

Where is Kozzie?
I was just answering another poster who said they were at full strength.
-
Where is Kozzie?
Lobb, Walters, Banfield and a couple of others out. Not full strength.

Think that will help Freo more than us.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MAJAK DAW
Not that I think he is even a remote chance to play early, but if he can play 2 x 8 minute blocks each quarter, that would make him eligible, given the rotation limits. How fit do you have to be to do that is the question. With LJ and Max playing, that further reduces his chances, as we know Max will play forward a bit more, while BB and Weid are missing. Realistically he has been added to the list as insurance for Max and LJ.

Casey Demons Vs Box Hill Hawks.
Kossie has enormous upside, especially when he fully adjusts to the AFL tempo of games. IMO Chandler has some upside and we will see this year how he goes if given chances. Spargo I am more concerned about. He is small like the others but to me just doesn't seem to be improving. Not quick, not tall, not a great mark, not a long kick, drifts in and out of games and aside from a few games has been underwhelming. I think this is his year to grab a spot or maybe struggle to stay on our list. As I have said before, barring injury Jones will get to 300, but we might see a retirement soon after that. While still talented, he has slowed down both in foot speed and decision making and turnovers are just too costly in the modern game. However, I would still play him ahead of Spargo, so that speaks volumes of where I see Spargo at. I think BTW we are seeing the last of Jetta, who has become very slow and I wouldn't be surprised to see him retire mid season or play out the year at Casey helping the younger players on the list. We need BB and Weid back and firing ASAP.

TRAINING: Friday 12th March 2021
Now I know why BB came to us. " "Ben's been super since he came into our club," Goodwin said. "He trained really hard, got himself felt, was executing some things within our training that was really exciting. "

Now I am worried about a possible latest Bizarre injury to a MFC player, being bitten by a stick at training.

2 ACL's might be the reason he was overlooked.

POSTGAME: Practice Match vs Bulldogs
Of course. If you have Max Gawn rucking for you, then you can beat Bontempelli, MacRae, Libba, Hunter, Dunkley, Smith etc, even if you are Sparrow, playing in your first few games, Jordon, who has not played one senior game, ANB, who is not a mid or sure ball handler, or AVB, playing your first game in ages. They were our mids at many of the stoppages today.

POSTGAME: Practice Match vs Bulldogs
I can play a bit of tennis but will never win a game against any of the top 100 players in the world. Why is that I wonder?
-
POSTGAME: Practice Match vs Bulldogs
Yes. An undermanned side, with nearly its whole midfield not playing, in addition to missing its two key forwards and best distributor of the ball, will never beat a near full strength Dogs side, which has one of the best midfields in the AFL.

GAMEDAY: Practice Match vs Bulldogs
With Tom our only key forward, why is he never up there leading out to the ball carrier? Fritsch is one out against 3 every time.
