It would be nice for him to do well in a winning side and be part of it again. Will help with re signing him. Well that’s a start.
  2. I would probably go for Langdon’s twin brother.
  3. Opinion or inside knowledge?

Lets all hope Weid plays well in a winning side and stays in from now on and signs a new contract extension fairly soon.

Looks like the Weid issue is solved, with Jackos busted finger, keeping him out for a week or two.
  7. With Weid in you have the same amount of talls we have had for the last few weeks. I would imagine one of Weid, BB, Tom Mac and Gawn will be on the bench at any one time during the game, thereby having a balance of key forwards and a ruckman on the ground. That way we are not top heavy up forward and one big guy is freshening for a few minutes.

Gee, 8-0 who would have thought? 9-0 does have a better ring to it though.
  9. And to the many on here who wanted JJ delisted last year.
  10. Harmes has played 2 games. I think my posting on DL, in strongly arguing we keep Tom Mac, Hunt and JJ and then playing Hunt back on the hbf, when many on here wanted them traded/delisted, is an equal contribution to the points quoted above.
  11. Like they ran out of steam last week beating the Cats, who smashed the Tigers last night?
  12. You know we nearly had him. He was about to accept a contract from us, when Hawks stepped in and matched.
  13. An inspired move by Taylor and his team, that most of the AFL footy world would have ridiculed at the time.
  14. Matthews was a thug on 3AW ? Seriously, he was also the best player I have ever seen. The most skillful IMO was our beloved Robbie, who I still miss greatly. No one I have seen since comes close to him for ball skill, no one.
  15. On reflection I agree with you. He is actually making a show I like less watchable. The funny thing is, I like Eddie and he is no fool, it is just the Pies thing and the factors you mentioned in your post. Pity.

If it was another club, I would be laughing, at effectively a 9 year contract for a player. However it is us and Tracc and while concerned he stays fit and keeps his form, I am happy he is ours.

Is that true that he said nothing about Ollie’s 6 year contract with his old club? If so should be called out in that. That said Tracc is actually 7 years on top of current 2 to go so nearly nine years. That is a bit different.
  18. Weid IMO applies more pressure than Melksham, is taller, probably quicker, can play key forward or forward pocket and flank, is younger and more vital to our future and has already starred in a final for us. I don't want Weid lost to the club. TBH if it came a choice between Weid and BB, I would go for Weid. If he doesn't get games, I fear he will be lost to us.
  19. Despite being bigger, I see no reason why Weid can’t replace Melksham.
  20. Well done on your scoop and I look forward to more good ones from you in the future. Don't be put off by the negative nellies, plenty of us love reading scoops, even if they don't all come true.
  21. One of my favourite posts on DL. Only need one more to overtake it saying, “ Petracca deal done by Dees”
  22. Fritta had blood on his lips when he got up just by the way.
  23. That’s not correct. You can be hurt and still play without concussion. He was assisted off and was wobbly. It hurt him and it was careless. A fine or 1 week were the obvious penalties. If we can’t get more for appealing they probably will, but otherwise they will accept it and move on.
  24. Agreed. Tom also played better sunday back than forward. Not saying it is a permanent solution though, but rather an option to use.

Yes write off BB after first game with new club, him getting used to their delivery and them getting used to how he leads/plays. All the while, he was being manhandled on every occasion, without the offenders being penalized, except on one occasion. He kicked 2 goals, often had 2 on him and this allowed Fritta more unmanned time, netting him 6. Matthew Lloyd was a great full forward, but not everything he says about footy is correct. Actually I think he was one of those who said we should get rid of Tom Mac.
