Not according to the media. They believe what he says is very relevant, especially as the other camera angle doesn't show a bump, but rather a hand touch and then Stevic turns around. If Stevic says he never touched me, do you think the MRO won't believe him? Considering there is no vision of actual contact, what the umpire says is the most important thing anyone will say on the matter.

What the umpire says is clearly relevant as he is the one who was bumped “allegedly “.

TBH Stevic had a strange look and continued to discuss something and it didn't look like a report on the spot. I get the feeling Stevic doesn't want to report him and from the angle we saw, you don't actually see contact. If Stevic says he was only lightly brushed and he wasn't concerned, it will be a fine. Otherwise everyone will be at the Tribunal and possibly Court all week. I think Toby will cop a fine and that will end it. Very stupid action and in a final with more to come.
  4. If the rain comes as predicted at half time, I hope we are well up. Harder to score in the wet.
  5. Rain predicted.

    Now you are talking.

    That is worrying to me.
  8. That price can't be right.

Great Review by the Blues Board, who appointed the Coach. Review conclusion is : everything is great, bar the Coach.
  10. Don’t see him as a “great” but certainly as an “ok”. I would keep him.
  11. Agree.

Well, we enter a finals series in the most strange circumstances, where most of us will not be allowed to attend. The TV sets in Victoria will be getting a heavy workout during the finals. Surely after 57 years this is our year. Go Dees.
  13. Sorry to hear that, condolences.
  14. Correct. Not all contributions are noticed by the average fan or journo.

    Lever, our future Captain.

Pretty sure Pendles is just ensuring a Pies extension, as he knows they have cap problems, but couldn’t face their members if he goes to another club. Realistically he gets another year and that is probably his last. He is still playing good football.

    Got it.
  18. Put the block on a player chasing Kozzie, who then kicked to Fritta for his goal late in the game. Great 1% to JV.
  19. Can understand that, but because you didn’t actually say that, that you were disappointed, or disagreed with the analysis of TMac, I misconstrued your point. BTW, I thought that win has given these boys supreme belief in their ability to overcome whatever is thrown at them.
  20. Bob I am sure Joeboy is as happy as the rest of us, with a brilliant win, while still tinged with sadness, knowing we can’t attend finals to support the boys. However, this is an evaluation of individual performance thread regularly done by Joeboy over the years. To do that properly you don’t just say everyone played well when then they didn’t. You can still enjoy a win, while noting who didn’t perform. I am certain the match committee will do exactly that. Do you disagree with any evaluation? That is probably a more relevant post than a swipe at Joeboy who is posting a clearly difficult type of thread that will have many critics. On another note, I gave them absolutely no hope at half time and I am still stunned. I am starting to believe, maybe this year. Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
  21. I hope the boys are not switched on, because they know it’s Adelaide anyway, as this is like 2019 Melbourne.
  22. I think we will be in Adelaide next week, no matter which opponent.

I think you would definitely prefer to play the Lions at Adelaide oval, rather than Port. How many goals would the umpires give Port and take off us, as a result of their crowd. They basically start 4-5 goals up.
  24. If you looked at his face on the screen, you could see he was going to miss. He looked as though he was facing a firing squad. So many incidents in that game. Robbie Flower doing his shoulder. Robbie missing a soda for him. The umpire not hearing the siren and awarding a 15 metre penalty, well after it started sounding to Buckenara, who said he wouldn't have kicked it from the original spot. Buckenara didn't even see Stynes run across the mark, as he later stated. The kickout by the Hawks, in the last play to the wing, where Newport was grabbed around the neck, without the ball and thrown to the ground, right in front of the umpire, who ignored it. Pay that free and game over. Several misses by Dees players Yeats, Eishold, Campbell and Healy from sitter positions in the last quarter. Etc, etc, etc.

The game will be on tomorrow, as both teams I think would prefer not to play Port in Adelaide. Winner will play Lions.
