This is probably the game to select him and make him sub for his 99th game for the Dees. BOG for Casey and hasn't played a lot lately so reasonably fresh legs if called upon.

Darcy was one of the best blokes you could meet. A real knockabout larrikin. I recall two incidents early in my career, that some of you might find humorous. On one occasion on entering the busy number 1 Court, where Darcy presided, knowing I was connected with the MFC, as Team Manager at the time, he said "silence in the Court, I will deal with the case of the busy representative of the MFC immediately, as he has important matters at the club to get back to". On the second occasion I ran into Darcy in the street and knowing I had an interest in racehorses, he asked me for a tip. I told him I had a couple of runners and they were both good chances. He said he would back them. They both duly won. A few days later I again entered the busy Court 1, the main city Magistrates Court, whereupon Darcy saw me and again said "silence in the Court, my banker has arrived". He asked me to come forward and dealt with my case in about 2 minutes flat. Sadly missed the great Darcy Dugan RIP.

Great news and now for Kade and JJ.

I think they missed about 8 easy shots. Rankine missing on the run from 10m was just unforgivable. Just one of those scoring a goal and they win. Teams are panicking late in the game, when the Pies are coming at them.

Melk deserves another sub game on the back of today, probably ahead of Harmes.

IMO another key forward has been and still is, our biggest priority. Jefferson is a fair way off, Petty doesn’t seem to be a goal scoring key forward, Schache is provably a temporary fill in, Max for some reason can’t adjust his kicking for goal to the obvious kick, of aiming for the right side points, BBB and Tom appear unless a big change occurs, to be near the end and JVR is a young kid, who can’t do it on his own. Chandler appears to have solved the needed extra small forward role.

Tom got some ball around the ground, but BBB and he were poor as key forwards again. BBB appears very slow and lumbering.

It will include 2 more games as sub.

Only seen Hawkins last two goals, now has 4. Number 3 he pushes off Zerk Thatcher to the face and number 4 he grabs the jumper of his opponent and holds him away. Commentators applaud his play and umpires do nothing.

He has improved with every game. He copped a really hard bump and was entitled to stay down, but jumped up straight away and ran and tackled. One of the most impressive acts I have seen from him. He handles the pressure, is a good kick for goal and is a very good mark. His pressure acts are great. Well done Kade, the Coach must love you and you are becoming a Dees fan favourite.

With the aim of assisting one side, without it being recorded as free kick errors for example. I don’t know really, but why do we get howlers of umpiring performance like us against the Tigers. Even Richo said several times it was umpiring mistakes and guess what, on every occasion we were the victims of the mistake. I guess I am just paranoid.
