  1. Now we are talking. Chocolate bananas, yummy!
  2. I remember years ago, giving character evidence at the Tribunal, for a Demon who punched an opponent in a Reserves GF. I told the Tribunal I was extremely disappointed with his action and that it was totally out of character and that I had made my feelings known to the player before the hearing. The Tribunal said it was going to suspend for 4 games, but because of my strong character evidence, reduced the suspension to 2 games. Pretty good result we all thought.
  3. At the risk of changing the topic, I was never into the Phantom, I was a Superman boy.
  4. I wonder if tonight’s budget will mention chocolate treats?
  5. Can we ever forget the White Knight bar?
  6. Yes the Freddo Frog was a bigger seller back then. While the frog could be plain chocolate or filled with different fillings, Bertie made do with some honeycomb bits in the chocolate.
  7. A good contribution to an important discussion.
  8. It certainly belongs on a hamburger.
  9. Not to forget the unbelievable Bertie Beetle show bag, a perennial favourite.
  10. Are you serious?
  11. We do and here is another one. Is the old Crispin Bar just a poor imitation of the Tosca bar? Don’t ever say we don’t throw the cat amongst the pigeons?
  12. I am in a quandary. Which is better, a crunchie bar or a violet crumble? Both chocolate and honeycomb.
  13. He actually enjoys meeting the common folk and is well known for that.
  14. King didn't look all that happy. Maybe had indigestion, or a headache from the crown.
  15. Another quiet week on DL. Seems like nothing happening at all.
  16. I think Dean admitted years later that he wasn't hit. I think they also wanted to bring in some TV footage but Tribunal refused.
  17. No it was sighted, just not cited.
  18. This is not a case of using words that people didn’t understand. The Cripps decision was a disgrace and imo a manufactured result, to let a leading Brownlow fancy and best player of a big club fighting for finals, continue to play.
  19. The Brisbane player was knocked out cold, from a bump, when Cripps left the ground. He was concussed and missed a few games. Ballard is uninjured and will play this week. Do you see any difference?
  20. Redleg replied to Redleg's topic in Melbourne Demons
They are my second favourite team.
  21. Do you know the sport with the most serious knee and ankle injuries? Netball.
  22. Well maybe not wasting $4 million on consultancies, to simply appoint the 2IC in the office next door and paying millions and millions on Executive salaries, could provide plenty of money to fix some of their problems, which as you say are ruining our great game. I know the game has moved on, but years ago one guy and a couple of secretaries ran the game and everyone knew the rules and what to expect. One umpire on the ground, worked better than 4 umpires now, overruling each other from 200 metres away, seems to do now. I know there has to be progress, but it should lead to everything being better, not worse. Just a little monday rant.
  23. How do you reconcile it with Fogarty smashing Murphy last week and breaking his nose, with blood everywhere and not even a free kick and no citing, or even screaming by the media? He hit him like a train crash, front on. Injured. Off the ground. Nothing to see here boys.
  24. Do you smell a rat, in that Jay Clark and Ralph pushed for a suspension and then as soon as it was announced, before the Dees could have met to decide what action they would adopt, they have written again immediately, that the club will strongly defend him, meaning appeal and citing other cases and reasons why he should get off. How many clicks will this now all lead to?
