  1. But they can't see what they have done wrong.....WTF???
  2. If you have not heard the anonymous players Mum on MMM this morning, do yourselves a favour. As a parent I was close to tears listening to it! Walls are crumbling at windy hill.
  3. Surely they can't participate in the finals? Once all the 17 cahunas get together today and voice their disgust I think we will find out very quickly!
  4. Agree... I've backed and defended him since he arrived, but watching him closely live his heart is not in it. One of few players with currency, trade for a midfielder now before he becomes another 10 year col Sylvia tease.
  5. Has anyone else at the game noticed Sylvia going off at Watts..... I've seen 3 separate occasions where jack should have passed to Sylvia and chose otherwise. Col was pretty demonstrative on each occasion!
  6. The AFL may need to doctor the crowd figure..... This is embarrassing.
  7. Yep! Glutton for punishment !
  8. He's certainly no Prince Charming!
  9. Agree entirely.I grew up as a teenager with all those names. We didn't win many games in the 70s n 80s but we always had a crack and often took it up to more fancied teams only to be beaten in the last quarter. This year, most matches have been done by quarter time and become painful and boring to watch. Certainly in my lifetime , this is the worst year by a street. 2012 was the worst up until this year... Going well aren't we!
  10. I'm in my mid 40s and this is the first year in my life where I no longer feel pain and anger after repeated insipid performances. The hurt has gone and I'm close to beyond caring. I know we joke about the Norm Smith curse, but this club had been sick for half a century. If I were PJ I'd be getting the broom and clear the whole damn place out with the exception of about 8 required players and start from scratch. Exterminate the club before we terminate! Edit :Grammar
  11. I know this has been mentioned several times this year but........this is possibly the worst MFC side in living memory!
  12. It's more the humidity that is the more difficult for players to deal with in my opinion ... Cairns was a max of 26 with 86 % humidity and was played as a twilight fixture. Whilst Darwin had a top of 30 last week the match conditions would not have been that hot come 7pm and humidity only reached 32 % that day. I agree the bye makes sense though after these games, maybe we might have only lost by 15 goals today lol
  13. Both Richmond n GC beat more fancied opposition the week after playing in equally demanding conditions in Cairns just 2 weeks ago. Lets face it we are simply one of the worst teams to play at this level in living memory ..... As an aside, both Port n Dogs had the bye after their match in Darwin earlier this year.
  14. Geez this floored me when I read this. Its incredibly sad for someone so young to be taken this way. My old man paid a rare visit to me in June this year and we sat and watched the Dees together for the first time in over 25 years, and enjoyed a win against the Tiges. Sadly it was also our last game together. He died of cancer less than 3 months later and I had no idea he was sick until after he went home the next day. What a horrible disease. My thoughts and wishes go out to Two Sheds and his family. RIP mate. These 2 examples also make me realise how unbelievable Jimma has been during his fight with this bastard. He is a true warrior and nothing short of an inspiration.
  15. Didnt see it but that is a painful loss. Coulda gone top of the ladder too! This is looking like a ripper season. Chelsea have a serious case of the death wobbles ATM
  16. Ah 45 , u saw that!! Unbelievable stuff
  17. Was anyone else watching Demon Brad Hodge tonight up at the Gabba?? One of the great innings in limited overs I`ve seen. Surely this bloke must get a call-up for either one dayers or 20/20. His form is as good as anyone in the world. Singlehandedly won the match tonight from a very precarious position
  18. True! Boy we have missed Van Persie. He looked pretty good in patches the other night!Having him alone may have seen some results turned! Even Fabregas, despite playing a large chunk of the season has been injured more often than not. Happy with 3rd possie, maybe 2nd!
  19. Saw it! 1 of the goals of the year. Ends the Gunners chances too, if they weren`t already finished before the game. Their injury list resembles the Dees of the past 3 years!
  20. Great win Vics, home final! Gotta say, I never used to watch much state cricket but it`s been far more exciting than the rubbish we watched the Aussies play against this Summer
  21. Some interesting results this morning! Must admit, I thought the Gunners season was over, but there is a pulse! Fortunate however, clear handball from Fabregas in the last play of the match from Gerard, looked like it was going in!
  22. Next fortnight will decide our fate! Any idea when Van Persie is due back? Get him fit, keep Cesc on the park and we are a massive chance this year! Agree if we lose Cesc, we`ll struggle. Many of our wins would have been draws, even losses without this bloke this year. How he is not a walk up start in the Spanish side is beyond me!
  23. How good would it be if the Dees had a player who could sit on the bench for 3 quarters, come on for 20 minutes, kick 5 goals, win the game singlehandedly, then go back and sit on the pine for the last 5 minutes to rest up for next week!
  24. I saw a bloke in a Freo guernsey that copped a bit which was excellent. It is pretty cool to see so much footy gear on though. Saw quite a few Dees caps. Boy, how lucky was Watto today! Shoulda been gone on 99! Meanwhile, the Poms are serving it up to SA in Durban. 4 wickets in hand with a lead of 170!
