I’m heading to Adelaide next week for the Dees game with an old boss, he’s a made crow, so much so that he dead set squawks like a crow when they kick a goal… he’s 45 ffs. Anyhoo he’s such an Adelaide guy that one of his great pleasures in life is to tune into 5aa (tinpot Adelaide radio channel) after a Power loss so he can hear the Power fans complain… hahhahahhaahaha god I love it.

What a strange season it’s been with multiple team covid outbreaks and shut downs, Dallas having a winter weather disaster shutdown and now teams offer fans free tickets to get vaccinated and looking to open up to as many fans as possible… and the finals starting while the Canucks are still finishing the regular season in the most meaningless way I think ever seen a season end in any sport. Some of the match ups early look amazing across all divisions. Whoever plays the Wild, the battle of Floria, Wash v Boston (Chara back to face his old team with Wilson….) and Leafs v Habs just from a historical perspective (Leafs a chance to sweep them). The Avs, if Grub can stay healthy are a chance to go all the way if they can get over Vegas and the punishment they dish out.

Lucky for them the AFLW expansion to all current AFL sides has been approved, can’t wait for the Tassie Hawks W side! Rod I was going to reply again to say I honestly hope those 2 sides along with Geelong and Collingwood have 10+ years in the wilderness, just putrid, deplorable years. No sponsors, terrible coaches, grasping at anything for relevance, there kids turning away from the club they love to follow the power clubs, people saying we’re they’re “second team”…. Then they might know how it’s felt as a Dees member/fan.

I’m a word no, NRL movement is crazy, it’s a literally free-for-all with players moving mid season to new clubs, being swapped or loaned or signing contracts to new clubs for next season onwards. I use ice hockey all the time and there is very very minimal mention of go home and only for the superstars (Austin Matthews is from Arizona and plays in Toronto amd it is mentioned occasionally he might move back home when his next contract is done), otherwise everyone is a replaceable part.
