  1. When Caroline was growing up her father, the powerful and fearsome Ian "Octa" Wilson, was President of Richmond at a time when they were a very strong team and winning premierships (late 60s/early 70s) under Tommy Hafey. She has always had excellent contacts in the footy world. My only criticism of her is that I think she tends to overlook or downplay bad news stories concerning her beloved Tigers.
  2. One of the funniest things I've ever read! Well done Biffinator and well found Rusty.
  3. Knackers (later Philthy Knackers) was a funny and knowledgeable poster.
  4. While we're discussing things Collingwood, list manager Ned Guy has apparently resigned (pushed/sacked?). I wonder if the Pies will pay 75% of his salary at his next job.
  5. Charlie's having a bit of fun by letting rip with a series of fills between songs and Jagger says "Charlie's good tonight, innee?", much to the delight of the crowd. Tim Rogers, Ross McLennan, Davey Lane and some other Aussie music luminaries formed a group to play tribute to "Ya-Yas" on its 40th anniversary and called themselves "Charlie's Good Tonight". Tim and others also played under the moniker of "Monkey Man" to do a "Let It Bleed" tribute and as recently as last month did a gig (with Tex Perkins, Adalita et al) to celebrate the 50th anniversary of "Sticky Fingers". Tim's a huge Stones fan and has the famous tongue and lips logo tattooed on his upper arm (just like me!).
  6. Q: What's red and smells like blue paint? A: Red paint. ? (sorry everybody)
  7. Apologies for the thread hijack, but a final word from me on crossword puzzles . I love them so much, my will stipulates that I be buried six down and two across.
  8. Incubi.
  9. I believe that Tim was quite ill which influenced his decision to relinquish control of Demonology. Does anybody here know Tim and/or know how he is doing? I hope he's going well and enjoying our year.
  10. I'm one of those afflicted by the cryptic curse, Timothy. They are great for exercising the old grey matter and my favourite compiler is David Astle, whose devilish condundrums I manage to solve more often than not. There have been a few Demon-related cryptic quizzes posted on here over the past few years if you have the time and energy to do a search. I posted one myself called 'Demonstone's Dirty Dozen' three or four years back.
  11. I was a regular on Demonology from 2005 and had racked up 999 posts before Dr. Who and his brother conned Tim into handing over the keys to the site and totally ruined everything. Some posters I remember fondly are GSmith12, Hatchman and RobbieF. Where are you gentlemen?
  12. I thought they already did. Maybe it was a pigment of my imagination.
  13. You need to stop licking those cane toads, willmoy.
  14. I prefer them to be more smooth and rounded, but each to his own.
  15. That platter would consist of hard cheese, I presume.
  16. Isn't that an Italian suppository?
  17. Not much damage as the North player returned to the field and played out the match after it was deemed by their medical staff that a concussion test was not warranted.
  18. Fritsch is free! My grandson reckons that's nothing ... he's four.
  19. Can he give it to Viney?
