  1. This is an issue that young George Gawn will be facing within the next year.
  2. If Gold Coast draft that kid ranked at 9, they'll have the tasty combination of Mac and Sheezel.
  3. We had a Jason Blake and a Matthew Blake who played reserves for us, but nobody with either a Christian name or a surname of Blake has played a senior game for us AFAIK. I'm just waiting to see Blake Howes chasing down Dan or Sam Butler so the crowd can yell out "I'll get you Butler!" (bit of a throwback for the older posters there).
  4. Howey already drafted at pick 39.
  5. Facepalm duly removed! I should have realised you weren't that thick, rpfc.
  6. Looks like Rooey, Howey and Woey. Goody should be happy.
  7. In a thread that's more about acronyms than football, that's TMI.
  8. Not me, faulty. I squat down low, tuck my head into my chest, put my hands on the ground, lean forward and push. That's how I roll.
  9. Not so, dc. An acronym is an abbreviation formed from the initial letters of other words and pronounced as a word (eg NASA, AIDS, RADAR, AWOL and FOMO).
  10. His surname sounds like "Van Ruin" and, given he can play forward or back, he qualifies as a "Kombi". Here is another Kombi Van Ruin.
  11. I identify as a single hetero male but, according to the lasagne I heated up last night, I'm a family of four.
  12. It seems to have upset Kranksy Frankfurt.
  13. I thought he may have been related to this bloke.
  14. Caminiti also has the correct number of syllables for the commentators to scream his name out whenever he does something spectacular - think "Jesaulenko!!".
  15. * she (literally)
  16. Literally? So you and deegirl are the same person?
  17. I got this information from Wikipedia, so make of it what you will. The father–son rule was established during the 1949 season, allowing a player to be recruited by the club his father had played for, despite being residentially zoned to another club. The first player officially cleared under the father–son rule was Harvey Dunn Jr, who was recruited to his father's old club, Carlton, in 1951, instead of being zoned to North Melbourne.[1] The original rule is thought to have originally come into place as a result of successful lobbying by the Melbourne Football Club,[citation needed] which had wanted the young Ron Barassi to follow in the footsteps of his father, Ron Barassi Sr., who had been killed during World War II. Barassi was officially cleared to Melbourne under the rule in 1953.[1]
  18. There was also a mention of Noah Yze, but I don't know his age or anything else about him.
  19. I'm forecasting a backline of Pfrengle Puncher Rogers.
  20. I believe that they are the jumper numbers of Melbourne's Team of the Century, as named from the backline. Can't wait to receive my painting of Max (when you've finished, of course).
  21. Brereton: " ... they’ll get a good run with injuries this coming year.” How could anybody predict what sort of run a team will get with injuries? Unadulterated bulldust.
  22. It's being reported that Vanders has signed with Old Xaverians in the VAFA. I would assume that he would have a clause that releases him from that deal should an AFL club draft him. This article refers to him as a West Australian (!!). https://www.zerohanger.com/former-demons-midfielder-finds-new-home-in-local-footy-move-94449/
