  1. You are definitely not alone Rogue.
  2. Hope your issue is resolved quickly RK, and to your complete satisfaction. I'm now very happy with my situation, but it took far too long, and the complete lack of communication from the Club was very disappointing. Not the best way to run a business!
  3. I'm delighted to report that the problems with my membership have now been rectified. Many thanks MFC!
  4. I hope you guys are correct, and my disappointment (see below) is a one-off, isolated instance which will soon be remedied. I am a 25 year member of our great Club, and unfortunately, there was a stuff-up when I renewed my membership last November. One phone call in December, two emails (May and June) and a 'snail mail' letter (3 July), all of which were very polite, have gone gone unanswered at this stage. I still purchased my $200 raffle ticket, and I will be renewing my membership in '09, and supporting Debt Demolition in August, but I find the lack of even an acknowledgement of my communications to be damn annoying. A bit like having teenage kids I suppose. You love ém with all your heart, but sometimes you feel like you need to give them a giant kick up the bum!
  5. Not match hardened yet. Only played about 80% with the Zebs last week.
  6. What others have said about Melbourne's draw, plus C'wood to have at least their share of interstate games.
  7. The only thing that makes me sad is Demons supporters who prefer to lose!
  8. Amazing. At this point in the count more than 50% of Demonlanders prefer a loss .... and I wonder how many of them bagged Carlton for tanking in '07, and are saying similar things about the Weagles this year. Shameful!
  9. B. Warnock Martin Whelan HB. Rivers Garland Petterd Whelan and Rivers as the generals, plus youth on both lines. Plenty of discipline, marking capacity and a fair bit of dash. Wheatley, Bucks and CJ further up the ground. Woops, the same selections as YM ... thats a worry!!! Maybe I should include Bruce.
  10. 'Brush' is developing really well, and has some impressive scalps, but I think you might be getting a bit carried away if you are talking season 2008.
  11. No need to worry DD. He's already showing an offensive side to his midfield tagging role. In another one or two years I reckon they they might be tagging him.
  12. Great stuff Krazy!!!
  13. Agree with many of the comments from fellow Demonlanders. Another one who really impressed me was Sam Blease (Vic Metro). He's a wiry midfielder type who I hadn't heard much about before today. I thought he had a ripping game. Didn't rack up a huge number of posessions, but used them all effectively. Has great leg speed / acceleration, and I thought a couple of of his second efforts, resulting in goals, were outstanding. I also thought the defensive side of his game was very good. Based on this limited exposure, I'd be very happy to see him in red & blue in '09.
  14. Hard for me to separate Warnock, Garland and PJ, but I'll give the nod to Warnock, because I think he must have been close to being delisted last year.
  15. Maybe for a week, but it can only help the team in the long term!
  16. 25 yrs. full membership while living in Canberra .... and for the rest of my life.
  17. Brilliant. Absolutely perfect fit.
  18. Great work. I bet you could even make CC into an Ewok!
  19. Luke eventually saved the Empire (with the help of others) didn't he? Maybe Jimbo should be Luke.
  20. And I suspect that Bails would have seen / heard a bit about him in Adelaide last year, and noted sufficient to work with / take a punt on. Worth another year under Bailey I reckon.
  21. Great effort Delmonlanders, and fellow members everywhere! We should be aiming for 33k+ in '09.
  22. Tough question IMO, getting the 'balance'right ie blend of experience, forwards / backs / mids., as well as genuime leadership qualities on and off the field At this stage I would go for: 1. Miller ©, His time may have come. My gut feeling is that the players look up to him as a leader. I think he will thrive on the responsibility, and could be a 5 year captain. 2. Green (co. VC), hard to go past the on-field example he has set this year. 3. McLean (co VC), likely captain-in-waiting, but needs to serve out his apprenticeship without further indescretions. Then it gets really hard IMO. 4. Rivers, with fingers crossed that he can stay on the park. 5. Moloney. Bleeds for the Club, and Bails said in a recent interview that he has been fantastic working with the youngsters in an off-field capacity. Apologies: JMac and Bruce. Time to make way for some younger blood, and as has been said by others, they don't need formal leadership responsibilities to be leaders.
  23. Wasn't aware of most of that. Thanks Coloss. and well done Dunny. One for the future?
  24. Maybe Kezz, but long term injuries to Beamer and Riv havn't stopped their elevation to the leadership group.
