  1. Why did we put Baker and Bedford in the team? Liabilities.
  2. Hard to see us winning with this team. Plus Freo are not that bad! The big guns will need to play out of their skin...
  3. We're a bit like a flaky Asian cricket team. We have a couple of hard-hitters in the top order but with no application or willingness to dig in for the long haul. Then we have a couple of decent bowlers who can perform in good conditions but lose interest when a partnership develops!
  4. He's playing the media game which is what he'd be told to do. With that said, he again looked a poor leader tonight. Part of the problem and appearing to provide no leadership in the second quarter when we were screaming out for it. The laughing after the game thing was atrocious.
  5. Has definitely gone backwards. When he arrived in the team he was a clever, well skilled player that looked like he had a big future as a flanker/winger type. Last night he was abysmal. Looked disinterested and so down on confidence that I fear we've ruined him.
  6. yeah, maybe. Admittedly, as a defence mechanism I only wanted to pay half attention to the game!
  7. I don't know! 6. Langdon (trys his guts out for 100 minutes). 5. Tomlinson (Looked switched on) 4. May (seems to care) 3. Harmes (appeared to be trying). 2. Gawn (But the lack of leadership and structure worries me). 1. Oliver. (8 clearances but kicking atrocious)
  8. The lack of leadership is stark. Who says something to Petracca when he continues the Hollywood handballs and the wide arc turning circles? Or when Weidemann refuse to attack the pill? Who sets the culture and the non-negotiables onfield? The lack of preparation by coaches was obvious. The selections were poor. Too tall with Gawn, Weed, Brown, OMac, Lever, May, Tomlinson, etc.
  9. What's the fascination with older players? You need to be bringing in talented 18-23 year olds not funding the retirement plans of those past their peak.
  10. Richmond and Geelong will be happy to hear you don't consider them AFL standard!
  11. Had a feeling he did a job versus Collingwood couple of weeks back on Maynard. Halved his possessions and kicked a couple himself...
  12. Melksham often does the shut down role, right?
  13. It was Oscar Wilde that said people are either charming or tedious. There is no question Picket Fence where you fit! You've posted the same crap all year. Give it a rest FFS!
  14. Is young Blakey (195cm) played as a tall forward/midfielder? If so, the Swannies have Reid and sometimes Sinclair as tall forwards plus McCartin? Maybe there is a job for OMac?
  15. Agree! Love the look of Ian 'Bobby' Hill at GWS.
  16. Seriously? He's one of those whose tackles at least stick. His defensive pressure has been good since coming back into the team. Those two tackles he laid in the final 60 seconds were superb.
  17. Think father time has arrived for both Jonesy and Nev. Thought Hibberd was another but he is showing plenty at the moment. Unfortunately, it arrives at different times. Tuck, Rantall, Bartlett, Blakey, Burgoyne, etc. are the exceptions.
  18. Do we need a 186cm, 90kg mid-paced type?
  19. Langdon shows great leadership. When we don't have the run of play he's the most noticeable in wanting to turn it around. Great recruit.
  20. Hannan, Pickett and OMac should be very nervous. Don't understand those calling for Spargo's axing. Was brilliant defensively (which was the gameplan). The same can't be said of Pickett or Hannan.
  21. 6. May 5. Petracca 4. Langdon 3. Lever 2. Salem 1. Weed
  22. There were plenty of positives with Weed, Brown, Melksham, Spargo, Petracca as well as May and Lever. Let down by midfield and stupid mistakes. Gonna taken big effort from here.
