  1. I didn't think Melk was bad!
  2. Wow, what a player this guy will be. Freakish.
  3. 6. Salem 5. Petracca 4. Lever 3. Jackson 2. TMac 1. Viney
  4. If that's the best the Tigers have then they have nothing! We'll win this!
  5. I would argue better defensively this year. Has really upped his game in this area.
  6. Realise that we are only another five wins from playing finals!
  7. Found it interesting that Darren Burgess said today that Bailey Laurie busted an eye socket and would be out for six weeks. May does it and misses two! Something doesn't add up!

Seems to have gone up a level this season, perhaps it's a confidence thing. Has a bit of toe and knows where the goals are. Not afraid to compete in the air either. Some players develop at different speeds. I'm not sure Toby was one to burst onto the AFL scene. He's still only 20 and playing in a strong VFL team might be good for him...

At the moment yes! Things we have going for us: Our stars are in great form. Gawn, Petracca, Oliver, Lever, Langdon, May, Salem, Viney, etc. Players know their role. Bottom six are doing a job. Players are fit. Our young guys are emerging stars. Pickett, Jackson, Rivers are much improved. Brayshaw is getting better every week. Great to see Hibberd hit the ground running. We still haven't picked our best team. BBB, Weed, others may have a role but the balance needs to remain. Our challenge will be when opposition teams continue to try and clog us up like Hawthorn did for three quarters. That will expose the one-on-one abilities of a few of our guys. Petty, Tomlinson, ANB and a few others struggled here against the Hawks There will be off weeks as well. At the moment we are as hungry or hungrier than the teams we play. That won't be the case every week. When opponents are hungry our skills need to shine. Goalkicking (poor all season) and marking especially.
  10. Nope! Melksham gets a hard time here for his defensive efforts but if you kick 3 and assist 3 you stay. Also had a run in the midfield which was good.
  11. Exactly. They were never going to sustain that. In the game thread many nervous Nellie's lamenting the way we were playing but was always going to happen.
  12. 6. Gawn 5. Lever 4. Langdon 3. Salem 2. Hibberd 1. TMac
  13. Hawks have numbers everywhere. That won't be sustainable. Petty, Rivers and ANB really struggling. Some Hollywood stuff from Oliver. We'll break the open this quarter.
  14. On the surface yes, but there's plenty of water to pass under the bridge before the next trade period. Players may want to leave which happens every year and there's the annual trading of picks, etc. GWS are perhaps to best traders in the AFL and if Ash wants out they'll make it happen,.
  15. Good player but I'd target Lachie Ash if the rumours are true he wants to move back to Victoria. That dash out of the backline is tantalising...
  16. Can't wait to see him in another 15-20 games. Those marks will stick. The kicking will improve and the confidence should surge. The ground ball gathers and work in traffic are elite for his size. An incredible talent that should keep Dee supporters in awe for many years!

May Day, May Day, cried Petty officer, Jack Sparrow. Ships Gawn down like a Hore's nickers!
  18. Excellent summary but TMac took nine marks today and is averaging seven a game. Hard to drop on that form.

Despite his slight frame he is a tough barsteward. Last couple of seasons they've been bombing the ball on his head and hasn't flinched.
  20. I'm sure some people just look at the stats sheet when this thread comes each week. The pressure that the likes of Spargo, Jordon, Sparrow, etc put on the oppostion is the difference between last year and this year. Why would you change that? Continuity is a good thing.
  21. The team aspect of this is the most satisfying. Also the room for improvement with goal kicking and overhead marking. Petracca looked back to last year form. The defensive set-up is working well. Hunt played his best game in a long time. Fritta was amazing. Max with seven clearances. Viney was excellent.

    6. Petracca 5. Langdon 4. Lever 3. Gawn 2. Oliver 1. Fritta Special mentions to Viney, Hunt, Salem and TMac,
  23. We're playing alright. Need a bit luck.
  24. Umpires are atrocious. One rule for Geelong one for Melb.
  25. Two things stand out. Dropped marks. Ed Langdon
