Gutsy win. Norf threw everything at us early. Just an aside what a player Cunnington is. What Jackson and Kozzie did in the third was amazing. Jackson was much more effective than Max. Fritta is all class. Watch the media string him up for his fend. Langdon is some sort of player. Consistently consistent. TMac back worked well in second half. We missed Viney especially in first half.

We have a few issues. Ziebell, Cunnington, Hall and Simpkin dominating. Forward line structure is kapot. Midfield with exception of Langdon and Petracca thrashed. Leadership is non-existent. That includes Gawn, May, etc. Kids: Rivers, Jackson struggling.

The Dogs have a few out but gee that have some glaring weaknesses! Ruck, key position players, half forward flankers...

If the Hawks can't choke us up then Norf have little hope. Norf have two good players (Ziebell and Cunnington) and a handful of decent players (Powell, Goldstein, Simpkin, Bonar and Stephenson). We have a whole team. 27 point win if in Tassie. 40+ if at Marvel.

Average skills but he runs and runs and runs. That complements the likes of Kozzy who are a bit more mercurial. That superior running power is invaluable in a game that goes for more than two hours. Doing fine job at the moment.

Think this works both ways. Distinctly remember Neitz targeting defenders or ruckman that drop into the hole. And boy did he hit them hard. We should continue to do it as well. It's a tough competition.

Most things have been mentioned including general maturity and selflessness. However the thing that's been most noticeable is tweaks to the game plan. We always on an opposition fast break have an extra or two in defence. That allows Lever to be that interceptor which is working magnificently. I don't know exactly how they are doing it. Langdon and Brayshaw are getting back as is Gawn. Add to that midfielders and forwards buying into team defence and our game plan stacks up!

Stats alone there seems to be a few almost games. Majak with 3 behinds, Bedford 3 behinds. Kick straight and those guys might be knocking on the door.

We can't go so tall. The mix is good at the moment. Three smalls (Kozzie, Spargo, ANB), two mediums (Fritta and Melk) and two talls TMac and Jackson/Gawn. Has to be like for like replacements.

There will be some sore boys. I wonder if everyone will get up.
