  1. Max is a liability with ball in hand. Oliver incredible game. Few blokes Hibberd, Hunt and others continually exposed one-on-one. Jackson is a machine. Weed was terrible. You shouldn't lose 16 points up with five minutes to go.
  2. 6. Oliver 5. Langdon 4. Petracca 3. Lever 2. Jackson 1. Harmes.
  3. Backline looks vulnerable. Melksham and Max excellent.
  4. It will be one thing for Adelaide to try and stop us. It'll be another thing for them to beat us. They don't have the weapons.
  5. They've lost their hunger the Tigers, but you'd be a fool to write them off with so many to come back from injury. The Brisbane talls are very good. If Daniher ever gets fit then they'll be even better. McCluggage and Zorko are top-10 players in the AFL. I still think we can beat them though!
  6. Good changes. Well done selectors. A couple of weeks for BBB to get super hungry and to keep the pressure on the Weed isn't a bad thing.
  7. This week is just as important as the following week. Four points is four points Common sense says that one of the talls has to go. Who it is I have no idea!
  8. Danger left Adelaide a few years back....
  9. Yep, guilty. Having watched the replay Lever was freaking amazing. What we also don't mention is how courageous he is dropping back into the hole and putting himself into places where the contest is hottest. Just on May. McKay kicked one on Hibberd after May zoned off choosing to tackle Cripps. Another goal came from a dodgy free. In the forward 50 when May was on McKay, the latter had no more than four touches which is pretty good given the Blues target him often. As a comparison, TMac had eight score involvements on the so called form full back of the comp (Weitering).
  10. Nah, don't think so.
  11. I'm sometimes critical of Oliver especially the hot potato handballs but today he was superb. Great four quarter effort with 10 tackles, 7 clearances and plenty of hard work.
  12. Well played ANB and Hunty. Dare I say it but the structure is amazing. Great four quarter game from Oliver. Angus at least got a bit of it. Umpiring is bamboozling! Jordon good again. Jmac like. We need to work out what to do with Weed and BBB. Chandler struggled. Trac's second half much more team oriented. Spargo played his role beautifully. Petty solid. Centre clearances still a worry.
  13. 6. Oliver 5. Salem 4. TMac 3. ANB 2. Lever 1. Hunt
  14. Good: May, Hunt, Langdon, Oliver. Bad: Angus's kicking, Chandler.
  15. Yep, I'm nervous! Would love to see Max, Kozzie, Fritta and Trac back to their best today. Love Clarry to show the Blues what they're missing out on. Salem and Lever to continue their AA form. BBB to kick six. Chandler to show signs. Angus to play a blinder!
  16. I reckon they are very beatable. Libba is the one you need to close down. As far as first dibs midfielders go, he is brilliant. On the outside the Bont and Caleb Daniel are very good also. While their midfield probably bats deeper, our back and forward lines are superior at the moment. Should be a fascinating clash in a couple of weeks time.
  17. Interesting! The Melk can be dropped!
  18. I've been keen on Kobi for a while now. He is the son of Doveton legend David George one of the smoothest players I've ever seen at suburban level. There were a few that were surprised pre-season that we went for Deakin Smith when both were seen to be level pegging ability wise. He may be a late maturer and one to keep an eye on.
  19. Chip Frawley. Should have stayed in retirement. Gives nothing.
  20. Anytime I saw the ball kicked in his direction he had Fox and someone else hanging off him...
  21. Didn't help when he was double teamed all night. Then again when he did get clear he wasn't his usual clean self.
  22. Is it a case of opposition strategists researching how Gawn prefers to play and just reading what he does? That might account for us being better in the past two weeks when Jackson plays in the centre square. I always remember Damian Monkhorst saying ruckman should never attempt to tap to a player but rather a designated spot on the ground for mids to run onto. I wonder if opposition midfields have got hold of Max's bag of tricks?
  23. Think the word is tenterhooks!
  24. I think labelling Melksham a pea heart is poor form from a generally thoughtful poster. He showed better intensity this week getting involved in the hard slog. He played his role well IMO.
  25. What I like was how Oliver is becoming a fourth quarter specialist. He must rate his fitness. Loved some of the tackles. Langdon's, Gawn's and Jordon's come to mind. Liked the presence of BBB and he seems to be working harder on defensive aspects than he did at Norf. Love the rejuvenation of TMac. Back to 2018 agility and form. Like that Salem had over 600 metres gained. And love that we are playing as a team. If the stars get closed down they still go hard but the lesser lights step up.
