James Brayshaw's Favourite Granny Since 2000
dee-tox replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Brayshaw's commentary in this game was generally excellent. A stark contrast to Taylor who was hyperbolic and made error after error. Classics like bang, bang, bang, bang and It's falling the way of the Demons will be remembered for a long time.- 25 replies

McVee is the interesting one. Come from the clouds. Hibbo playing twos...

Interested to know where James Jordon will play if playing in same team as Langdon and Hunter. Is Bowey the Salem replacement? What do they have in mind for Rivers and Brayshaw?

Can we assume lower back/glute issue?

MFC Annual General Meeting tonight 20/2/2023 at 6:30pm

That's right, all 400,000 residents only follow wogball! What a ridiculous generalisation. -
Does Kade make the grade, or will it be Chandlermonium
dee-tox replied to DeeSpencer's topic in Melbourne Demons
In his 10 AFL games to date he has been very ordinary never getting more than four kicks. He's never looked even close. At 23, coaches don't tend to give you a block of games to see what you can do. With Bedford gone he's probably next in line but has to make an immediate impact. -
Interesting. I think Richmond still have midfield troubles despite the two Giants coming on board.

Choco Williams is the New Goal Kicking Coach
dee-tox replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Looks much lower in this clip. With Trac it is all about guiding the ball to below his knee. Same as what TMac does. Last year it seemed to be at thigh level. -
Choco Williams is the New Goal Kicking Coach

He has plenty to work with including Gawn's arc, Petracca's high ball drop and Kozzie often missing on the run. -
Good to hear! And being from Doveton he should have the necessary amount of mongrel too!

I played a game of cricket against Zimbabwe at Yea in the mid-90s and the field was immaculate. Not that we got to field that many balls though with the Zimbabweans whacking them over the fence!

A fit and firing Salem. A 70-goal year from Fritta. A Brownlow for Clarry. A fully functioning, multi-pronged forward line. Kozzie re-signed. Development of a small lock down defender to replace Hibbo. Blooding of JvR, Woey jnr, McVee, Laurie, Howes, D Smith or AMW. Grundy to justify his price tag. Small forwards that kick goals! Thrash Collingwood, Carlton, Brisbane and Geelong. AFL and VFL teams to win flag to complete the trifecta!

Love it!

Good to hear! Wonder if he could be groomed to play the lockdown defender replacing Hibbo? There seems to be an abundance of options for the more attacking small defender with Salem, Bowey, Rivers, etc.

It's the time of year to be positive of course, but let's not forget that Hunter's last two seasons were pretty ordinary. So much so that most dogs supporters were happy to see him go. Some sort of improvement will be welcomed but let's not go over the top!
-
Good to hear! Sounds like he's in full swing this pre-season. Any other trackwatchers like what they saw of him? Just trying to get a gauge of his skills.

Perhaps more disturbing is Harmes wearing Crocs... the 2005 fashion before Birkenstocks!
-
Interesting. Has one of the least looking AFL physiques IMO...
-
If the team gets fit then they could surprise a few. Last year, the likes of Nik Nat and McGovern had local league type fitness. Bottom five.
-
Pleasant surprise that it wasn't Derwaayne interviewing Oliver! Thanks for sharing.

BBB went under the knife immediately after the season. Will be interesting if he can get back to full fitness. Be interesting too who can perform Hibberd's lockdown role. I don't see any standouts.

Another gorilla keeper to replace May? Probably doesn't have May's pace but not many full backs do. Plenty of scope to improve as well being hit by injuries this year. Like!
-
Well, according to the article we also have some interest in Jakob Ryan, a tall back who is pretty quick and is a good kick. 189cm, South Australian haircut!

People with the surname Pell, buggering things up for everyone.

Really? Was in the best four players for Country in three of the four games.
