  1. As much as I hate Collingwood, their work in Youth homeless is very impressive. I worked for an agency in homelessness many a year ago, and the work I witnessed by the club was impressive. No disrespect to Carlton, I take that back. It didn’t read well.
  2. Have I had my head in the sand and McVee has resigned or are you letting a cat out of the bag GW? I hope you are correct either way
  3. In no way, am I putting down any club GW. Including our club. Richmond needs a good slap on the back for being the founder to support Midsumma financially. @jackaub is one, who (to me), in his way, liked posts that was offensive for putting down diversity. Trust me, I have lived experience in diversity. Midsumma is my jam 😉
  4. We butchered the ball under Mini and Ooze too.
  5. I’m sorry for your experience 31, but reading your post has bored me. Soz 🥱😂
  6. Either way, it’s time for some change.
  7. I am not assuming you are a Goodwin supporter, but I am looking at a solution focussed way to this situation. The club has leverage to our current situation. If that means moving on Oliver and others, so be it.
  8. Ooze took over Richmond knowing they would struggle, just to get an opportunity. They’re others.
  9. Goodwin’s contract maybe water-tight, but there are people out there who would give their left nut to coach an AFL team Macca. The club is not hamstrung in making change. They can provide opportunities to a new coach who can reinvigorate the club and the list.
  10. The great thing about Collingwood Jack (and I hate them), is not only do they play great football, they are lead by competent people who have a strong value toward diversity. The Pies are leaders in supporting homeless youth and are a big part of giving back to those who are less fortunate, including other minority groups. The Pink Pies group is a very much loved and supported group within their club. Maybe Carlton should take their lead and the Dee’s connect more with the Reach Program. Success breeds success.
  11. They always play to advantage. If it be taps to players when they can’t win the ball, kicks in front of a player to run onto the ball. They have a symmetry all other teams do not have. Their vision and understanding of the game and their system is incredibly impressive
  12. Yep, but they will win even when not on top of their game.
  13. C’mon Cranky. My post was talking about competent focused leaders who embrace diversity. Win win situation. They are not exclusive to each other and I support both.
  14. Diversity focused leaders with high level competency exist in many areas You are being dismissive and aligning yourself to fake news to think otherwise Cranky.
  15. We will have to disagree here GW. My info says different. I’m happy the stars aligned and factors changed
  16. Highlighting data can also include ignoring and dismissing other factors and data. Wheelo does a great job with providing us with stats without the condescension imo.
  17. Being hopeful, he could be the new Blicavs.
  18. No Probs 48. My post was more directed to others in pointing out their own (disguised) confirmation bias by using data. Confirmation Bias is the new Revisionist buzz word at present.
  19. We moving the ball forward quicker than most teams. In fact we are the second fastest to move the ball forward. Is this effective? Nope. Do we have poor skills kicking for goal? Yes. If I was to interpret fast ball movement, it would mean through the sticks, not through the oval. As I said we are ineffective.
  20. It’s a way of saying you see what you want to see things due to your own bias or ideas. On Demonland, it is used as tool to dismiss your beliefs or argument. Many on here use isolated stats to ague their point to confirm their confirmation bias. This is seen as fact and not an interpretation of fact, or confirmation bias.
  21. You remind me a lot of Kane Cornes, Bluey.
  22. Possibly Layzie. The word around town this year’s draft is hugely compromised and the club has a history of trading future picks into earlier drafts. If the talent is there the club will try to enter into this draft as well. With Tassie possibly coming into the league, it maybe a lot harder. I’m of the opinion the club thought it could trade up further in the 2023 draft for pick one to get Reid. It didn’t occur with Kolt and Windsor coming our way. Either way I am very happy with Langford and Lindsay. IMO Lindsay will be the better of the two.
  23. I really like the Casey listed players and what they have provided. They have done a fantastic job this season. But, they are the main act and our AFL listed players are the cameo roles. I’m not fussed with Campbell being the main man in the ruck. He is on standby for Max if needed. Verrall should be played as a hybrid ruck/forward whilst he develops. I’ve watched many games and he spends too much time on the bench imo.
  24. There is a market for SWYL. You make me smile reading your post!
  25. SYWL, you should, seriously, start up a slogan business. Just like Forest Gump. 💩 happens T shirts or the like 😛
