At Sunday’s match during the first quarter our bay was abuzz upon hearing Guerra was sitting somewhere amongst us. Folks were inconspicuously glancing around etc. trying to see if he really was there. At the quarter time break a member of the DA who’s not backward in coming forward went a-hunting for him. She found him, introduced herself, welcomed him to our cheer squad then gave him one piece of advice, that being… if you wanna succeed at our club you need to forget Essendon exists. “Essendon is now dead to you,” she said firmly. “I trust we understand one another,” she added almost menacingly. We, oh I mean they both laughed; she, heartily and he, nervously. He said he’s resolutely and unwaveringly committed to the Demons so she spared him any further discomfort. I think he appreciated her honesty. That, or he’s scared sch!ttless of her.

Disco, like almost everyone else, thought the ball would be out of bounds. He’d slammed into the post at the same time so there was never gonna be a chance of him stopping that goal. He was also cramping on and off in the last. At one point he was cramping badly in both legs at the same time. He was walking like he’d 💩-ed his pants, so you know it must’ve been bad. He was waving for attention for ages, poor bugger was frustrated to be so hampered.

This week it’s Hawthorn’s home game. For those who like sitting near the cheer squad, the DA will be in the away cheer squad bay (M33), Ponsford end. The Collingwood game is also an away game for us, but we’ll be in the home cheer squad bay (M3), Punt Rd end because Collingwood allows us to. It’s not coz they’re nice, it’s coz Collingwood luvs them the Ponsford, so the list of good things about Collingwood still remains empty.

She’s putting the stoopid time machine on FB market place coz last night it took her back to when she was 20yo and could drink to excess and still function adequately the next day.

Cut to 3am and she’s staggering up to her front door loudly telling the neighbourhood she’s gotta get up early to go watch her mighty Dees smash the pies 🤷‍♀️

I asked six players privately and individually how they feel and I’m not about to elaborate but let’s just say they range from not happy to very [censored] off. Again, people don’t wanna hear it but this is how it is.

And you know he will. I just hope he doesn’t end up disemboweled by a certain pair of knees.

Geez I’m nervous and excited in equal parts at the prospect of him debuting against them. But I’ll trust the selectors, if they deem him ready, so be it. I’ll just watch the entire match like this… 🫣

For mine, as long as it’s not in round 24. Luker himself thinks this would be fine (he’s super keen to debut) but I’d rather it wasn’t against those revolting thugs.
