FWIW, last Saturday at the captain’s run Judd said that his decision on his future has nothing to do with who our head coach is/was. He said nothing has changed with the sacking of Goody, he’s always planned (and still plans) on staying. Then on Tuesday he said “just some loose ends to tie up, but yeah, I’m not leaving.” Incidentally, I don’t ask him about his decision, he volunteers the info. Ok, so I may’ve given him the odd death threat or two, but that was in the past. I don’t even need to give him the sideways stink-eye..: he knows. 😁

You can’t see it properly in the pic but Max’s guernsey is my fave. It’s chocolate brown with a matte sky blue deep yoke. Again, you can’t see it properly but my least fave is Jeffo’s. The neck of it looks like that of a girl’s tennis dress. He didn’t disagree with that description 😅

So I asked Luker to sign this jumper of mine in readiness for when he debuts (next season, but you never know)… Before he signed it he was waving the sharpie around with a very serious look on his face. I asked him what he was doing. He said, “I’m practicing first, I wanna make sure I do it properly.” He was actually fresh-airing his signature. Bless. 🥹

After training he put his arms out like someone who’s wearing a Demons jumper. I told him I can’t hug him in that revolting jumper so he said he’ll take it off. I weighed up a Geelong jumper hug vs a sweaty topless hug and went the sweaty topless hug route (I took one for the team). As I walked away he yelled out “GO CATS!” 🤬

They’d all gone back to AAMI when I read this. I had a chat with Chocco right at the end and he’d know about this since he’s at Casey matches.

My boy Luker won’t be debuting this season. He’s not as disappointed as I thought he’d be. He said they don’t want him in his debut going up against Barrass and Battle, or Collingwood. LOL… they didn’t specify filth players, they must mean the whole side.

The boys are all in their junior football guernseys. Some jarring sights here: Essendon, Richmond, Collingwood etc. guernseys. Tmac asked me if his jumper is too small (it is) but I said it looks fine. Nothing wrong with a belly hanging out from a jumper, right?

Nor did I But I did anyways 😜 He was wearing a blue suit. I’m sure he blended in while in the MCC but he stood out like dog’s proverbials in the cheer squad. If the suit didn’t give him away the wavy bouffant did.

It won’t be a full exodus. Many will stay for the second half. I’m guessing if we’re getting trounced it won’t look great seeing a bunch of us pack up and leave at halftime. It’s actually not just rain they’re predicting, it’s hail, and the temperature will plummet. Idk if many will attend but one thing’s for sure: our cheer squad will be representing complete with banner and guard of honour and very loud voices. ❤️💙 Our “chopper” will be the 5:40 Williamstown train to West Footscray. We leave the AFL match at halftime. I’ll be watching the second half on my phone and good luck to other passengers on the train if it’s a close match 😅
