Except I’d sooner have Kysaiah Pickett over Kasaiah Pickett (whoever he is) 😉 JK. 😝 when making his last milestone banner believe me when I say we double-checked, triple-checked and even quadruple-checked the spelling before sticking it down. Exactly. I talk with Clarrie the same way I talk with my son who’s the same age. It wasn’t always this way with Clarrie though; I found that at the beginning he didn’t say much at all, he was almost always monosyllabic. Then over time trust is established and now he’s an open book. He has the very endearing trait of letting his guard down once he’s comfortable with you. As for being told he’s loved and wanted, he thrives on this. He needs to be reminded of such and fear not, I remind him often. 😊

Jay Clark is 100% Cats. He was on the same tram as I was after our win over them last year, not as a journo but as a regular fan. He was with his wife, a really nice lady who barracks for the Eagles, and they talked about his passion for Geelong. It was rather sickening tbh 🥴

He’s actually already looking very close to how he looked when he first came back. At that time he looked dreadful; he’d lost all his muscle tone and a ton of weight, his face was gaunt and he looked terribly weak. He was literally unrecognisable. He came over to say hello and I wondered who this guy was and why he greeted me with such familiarity. The moustache was the only giveaway. The poor thing looked like death warmed up.

Luker wasn’t there today but he is remarkably close to his pre-illness condition, I’d even go so far as to say he’ll be even fitter and more toned. He’s in a really good headspace, too.

Nah, they came out at 1:40-ish and wrapped it up at 2:15. A lot of handballing drills and set shot practice.

Got a feeling TC might get a gig this week. Maybe I’m reading into things a little too much and/or maybe it’s coz that’s what I hope happens, but he spent a lot of time with the coaches today and the vibe was different.

Richo said he knows Melk is my fave player but wanted to know who my favourite youngster is. I said it’s like picking my favourite child but if I hadda name one it’d be “Harves, The Bison.” Richo said he’s heard “The Bison” being mentioned and wanted to know where it came from. I told him it comes from DL, he likes it and promised to spread it. So, @Supreme_Demon… it looks like it’s a thing 🥳 Goody said he really appreciates supporters having faith in him all along. I saw this on First Crack last night and felt like punching the TV. Jay Clark is a diehard Geelong supporter, of course he’s gonna float the idea that (a) Geelong have one missing piece, and (b) Clarrie is the *only player who fits the bill. Anyways, last year they didn’t approach Clarrie, he approached them. The relationship between Clarrie and the Club is entirely different now. Clark didn’t say he believes Clarrie is the only player, but he didn’t mention anyone else.

The Blues were switched on from the get-go. Geelong never looked like coming back. I was surrounded by loudmouths from both denominations (species? Persuasions?) but by far and away the Carlton ones were the most annoying.

At Mordor this year we watched Casey vs Geelong as the curtain raiser. Yes, it meant spending extra hours at that desolate sch!tt-hole (without having a gun to our heads, mind you) but geez it was good to have been able to cheer on both our sides.

At the end of 2021 he had knee surgery for an injury sustained during training when a large line coach fell on him. During training in 2022 his foot was accidentally stomped on by a teammate during training causing a fracture. Then at our Alice game in 2023 during a marking contest he came down hard and rolled his ankle so severely that it caused a fracture to a bone in his foot. This preseason marked the first time since December 2021 he’s been fully injury-free.

I’ll be at the ‘G today for the Blues/Cats match. I have a niece who has defected and is a Cats fan much to the chagrin of my all-Carlton family. I’m supporting her because I know only to well what it’s like to be the black sheep and I respect her for having the balls to come out as a Cats fan, unlike my gutless self who masqueraded as a Blues fan for many years. 😭 I’ll be going for the Blues though. Soz if that makes anyone throw up their brekky 😅 At least one person here will be of the same mind, huh @No. 31 ?????

Except they are copping it NOWHERE NEAR as much as we did over Clarrie. You’re only saying this because their “troubled player” situation is currently in the spotlight. Cast your mind back to when it was peak Clarrie media coverage then compare that with what’s happening right now with Jamarra. Not even a fraction of what we copped. Besides, how does anyone outside the Bulldogs inner sanctum know how professional their handling of the situation is?

I was at a prematch coterie dinner on Thursday night (not as a diner, but as a pleb selling raffle tickets 😅) and Ricky Lever was the guest speaker. Interestingly, he said despite being listed as 6-7 weeks away from a return, in reality it’s closer to four weeks, possibly even three.

After our win over Freo someone on here said how watching the match live showed things you don’t see when watching on TV. and in this case it was about Kolt and how enthusiastic he is out there, how he’s involved in setting up zones and he routinely yells to his teammates. I told him this was said about him and he said he wasn’t really aware he does this. He said he’s just being himself out there and this is true since he’s like this at training. We really do need Kolt out there. His youth and exuberance is valuable and his confidence is infectious. We’re a better side with him in it.

I’m not agreeing nor disagreeing with the OP, I just wanted to remind folks that sometimes the path to having a child isn’t as easy for some.
