The banner (two identical banners that is, in case the elements wreck the first one) actually says “UNITED BY DEMON SPIRIT” which is great because we get to reuse them. Just need to rip the Fox logo off it.

Would love that but it won’t happen. They’ve said tomorrow so tomorrow it is. Mind you the ad is gonna feature a bunch of red-faced sweaty folks on the verge of passing out but clearly Fox Footy is ok with that. Oh and they’re shouting us pizzas, just in case our core temperatures aren’t high enough 😅

Didn’t know where to post this but wanted to share it, thought here’s as good as anywhere else. So, Fox Footy has asked us to make a full-sized banner (which we’re doing today) and they want us and our banner to feature in their main footy season promo. 🥳 🥳🥳 Thing is though, they’re filming it tomorrow outdoors (of course) and it’s gonna be 42 degrees. And because it’s supposed to look like we’re raising the banner during a match, they’ve requested we wear jumpers, beanies and scarves…. 42 degrees… FORTY TWO DEGREES Good times 😳

So did I !!!!!!! if I regain consciousness within 10 minutes after the final siren I’ll chalk that up as a win, or even a miracle!

(rehab one on one ball skills then laps) 37 27 doing laps during match sim Disco in sim - no number Need to get Roy George on our list! But seriously need Roy on our list- he was great today! She also said that IHO (H = Her) Spargo isn’t improving at the rate they’ll have us believe. She’s thinking long term injury list for him and Roy George is ours.

Yeah finding the words is very hard. I haven’t watched any of the coverage yet, I’d forgotten it was on and I was watching the tennis. Got a text that just said “Neale, finally 💖” and I burst into tears. The relief was overwhelming.

I don’t give them their nicknames, I’m just telling folks what they’ve told me are their nicknames and what I hear them call each other. The Duke is a great nickname for Caleb but they all call him Leb and he really likes it.

I don’t think I’ve ever heard a player call him Lingers out on the park. They call him either Langers or Ed. Yes Gussy gave Blake Howes the nickname Halfway which Blake said was funny but isn’t what they call him. It’s Howesy all the way. A couple of years ago Deakyn Smith told me that his nickname was Deaks. I said that’s not very imaginative and he said that’s how the giving of nicknames always goes: they toss around a heap of suggestions then end up settling on the first (and least imaginative) one. 🤣

Nothing’s hard and fast with these things. You mentioned Tmac and that’s one of those grey areas. I’ve heard the boys call him Tommy and sometimes Macca as well as Tmac but I reckon it’s fans who mostly call him Tmac. Harvey would likely have been called Langers except for Ed already having that nickname and Ricky Mentha is Ricky despite Jake being nicknamed Rick. Clarrie gets Claz from the coaches but I hear the boys call him Clarrie. Kozzie seems to get Koz and Kozzie from the players, except not from his uncle Roy who has a family nickname for him which he told me but asked me not to tell people which is not a problem since I can’t for the life of me remember it 😅

Nobody at the club calls him The Duke. Not his teammates, not the coaches, not the training staff… nobody. Someone on here called him The Duke when we first drafted him but honestly, it’s never caught on.

The session at Casey on the 14th of February is an open session and is also a Family Day of sorts, despite being on a weekday when kids have gone back to school 🤷‍♀️
