  1. And wouldn’t that mean Kolt won’t be able to play for six months? This is what I heard at training.
  2. Would they have put Bellanie in a Melbourne guernsey on team photo day if his heart is somewhere else? Methinks not 😁 Some of the children of the players were in guernseys but not all, so clearly it was optional. Along with Ardu’s sister (who’s also her best friend) living close by in Melbourne, Kozzie’s sister has moved to Melbourne too.
  3. Is there another GW on Demonland? What a coincidence huh.
  4. Yep. But the players don’t know about it 🤭
  5. You’ll be pleased to know that training at Casey on Friday the 14th of February is an open session. Start time to be announced this Tuesday. All the usual activations (despite kids being back at school) but sadly no sausage sizzle. Since I get to watch training, I might pull up a deck-chair next to you PF!
  6. Also maybe because some of them are still growing (?)
  7. His foot apparently.
  8. Thanks, Dub. Very reassuring. Now can I come to you any and every time I’m freaking out about something? 😂 For starters, I broke a fingernail this morning. It’s a blue one (half are blue, the other half red… yes, I’m a nuffie), please tell me everything will be ok. Lie to me if you have to! 😃 PS I lied. Six nails are blue, four are red coz more blue than red. PPS footy can’t start soon enough 😂
  9. “Bribery by cake” that’s the lawyer in you 😂 if ever I’m up on a murder charge for *taking out, say for example, an Essendon supporter, I want you to defend me in court. * don’t worry… it would definitely be by accident
  10. Oh, we can complain. Ken Oaf we can complain. 😝
  11. And Melky’s hamstring???? What’s going on? This is like a bad dream
  12. Why would anyone feel silly? In the absence of a reason people are gonna talk about possible reasons. It’s called being a human.
  13. The poor bugger 😥 I hope he’s back to full health soon. He’s a lovely kid. Thanks for the info.
  14. As well as Sam Landsberger (RIP).
  15. I dunno, I reckon you’d be pushing to find a bigger Port nuffie than Cornes.
  16. 100% we can. Fans are the only ones hanging onto the negatives, and fair enough, too. But as far as the club, players and coaches go, it’s dead and buried. Ok so the same stirrings might occur at the end of this season but that’s not gonna change the current mood, aspirations, belief, hunger, whatever else, of this season.
  17. It was lovely seeing you there and not just because you brought delish cake you’d made 😅 I wish you still lived in Melb.
  18. Last season we didn’t get the chance to be excited even before round one. Playing Sydney in Sydney was a terrible way to start the season. I wasn’t surprised we lost. Not to mention having to fork out for flights and accommodation, and our cheer squad had to sit in the corner pocket because Sydney members sit behind the away goals. Plus the majority of Dees supporters couldn’t attend. And it made me so angry that the AFL scheduled it this way to hype up the Grundy vs Gawn thing. A loss in the first game played is huge. Thank goodness we’re not part of the ridiculous Opening Round this year.
  19. I understand your reasoning but footy every day of the week would suck. I think we need at least four footy-free days between rounds because in that time you can process the round that’s just finished and preview the next round.
  20. Bring back the 🤔 emoji. STAT!
  21. Yes, but there’s change afoot. I recently met our new media guy, Matt. He’s aware of the importance of connecting with fans via the socials and it’s already showing.
  22. I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought this was silly. He’s not the brightest, is he. He usually only rears his greedy head when players’ pay is in question so I’m surprised he’s brought up an issue other than that. And don’t get me started on his grammar and punctuation; his first tweet contains only 21 words, yet there’s no less than five errors. I’m too scared to read his follow-up tweet 😅 Replacing him as the AFLPA head is long overdue.
  23. Not a review of Shano, but giving credit where it’s due… There’s a group of regular track-watchers who meet up at Gosch’s where we watch from our usual spot at the boundary fence. Yesterday, without warning, one of our group fainted. (Incidentally, If you’re gonna faint in public there’s not many better places than at training: Jacob, the Club doctor, was absolutely wonderful.) Anyways, just after it happened Shane ran to the boundary. He asked me about it and he was genuinely concerned. He said he hopes she’s ok and that it’s lucky Jacob was there. Then about half an hour later he came over again to get an update and was pleased to hear she was gonna be fine. This isn’t a testament to his footy prowess but it certainly is to his character. SM23❤️💙
  24. For mine, what’s as telling as the things you mention above is the fact that Luker wasn’t in the 2025 official team photo which was taken yesterday. He was the only one absent. It’s undeniable that that’s huge. IN MY HUMBLE FLIPPIN’ OPINION.
