Just wondering...
Is it a coincidence that every player Geelong nabs just happens to want a farm? Jeremy Cameron has said he never thought about having a farm but he’s happy to have one now. Dangerfield and whoever else it was from Geelong dangled a carrot in the form of a farm in front of Clarrie. How else are they managing to not blow the salary cap?

Never underestimate the power of the brother boys. I knew nothing about this until Matty Whelan and Roy explained it to me. Our brother boys are extremely tight and although he’s only 23yo Kozzie plays an important role in the mentoring of Ricky Mentha. The group is growing and imo this bodes well in terms of Kozzie staying with us.

Would they have put Bellanie in a Melbourne guernsey on team photo day if his heart is somewhere else? Methinks not 😁 Some of the children of the players were in guernseys but not all, so clearly it was optional. Along with Ardu’s sister (who’s also her best friend) living close by in Melbourne, Kozzie’s sister has moved to Melbourne too.

PRESEASON TRAINING: Friday 31st January 2025
You’ll be pleased to know that training at Casey on Friday the 14th of February is an open session. Start time to be announced this Tuesday. All the usual activations (despite kids being back at school) but sadly no sausage sizzle. Since I get to watch training, I might pull up a deck-chair next to you PF!

Thanks, Dub. Very reassuring. Now can I come to you any and every time I’m freaking out about something? 😂 For starters, I broke a fingernail this morning. It’s a blue one (half are blue, the other half red… yes, I’m a nuffie), please tell me everything will be ok. Lie to me if you have to! 😃 PS I lied. Six nails are blue, four are red coz more blue than red. PPS footy can’t start soon enough 😂

“Bribery by cake” that’s the lawyer in you 😂 if ever I’m up on a murder charge for *taking out, say for example, an Essendon supporter, I want you to defend me in court. * don’t worry… it would definitely be by accident

Why would anyone feel silly? In the absence of a reason people are gonna talk about possible reasons. It’s called being a human.

I dunno, I reckon you’d be pushing to find a bigger Port nuffie than Cornes.

100% we can. Fans are the only ones hanging onto the negatives, and fair enough, too. But as far as the club, players and coaches go, it’s dead and buried. Ok so the same stirrings might occur at the end of this season but that’s not gonna change the current mood, aspirations, belief, hunger, whatever else, of this season.

It was lovely seeing you there and not just because you brought delish cake you’d made 😅 I wish you still lived in Melb.

Melbourne’s new bond
Last season we didn’t get the chance to be excited even before round one. Playing Sydney in Sydney was a terrible way to start the season. I wasn’t surprised we lost. Not to mention having to fork out for flights and accommodation, and our cheer squad had to sit in the corner pocket because Sydney members sit behind the away goals. Plus the majority of Dees supporters couldn’t attend. And it made me so angry that the AFL scheduled it this way to hype up the Grundy vs Gawn thing. A loss in the first game played is huge. Thank goodness we’re not part of the ridiculous Opening Round this year.
