Really, how many times over the past few years have we been genuinely expected to win and haven't learned later that our expected form guides might have been a tad misguided? Brisbane last year? In which games have we been favoured by bookies and then lost (other than perhaps our opening rounds the previous two seasons?). There's a lot of talk about typical Melbourne giving up a gimme but I don't recall too many matches in recent times where we weren't shite-house leading in and just hoped that the opposition would be worse.

Served them up at a Kiwi-Oz Rugby Union international once as an effort to rile up the Aussies in attendance like anyone would actually give a patriotic toss over a possum. Meanwhile, they've got a problem with wild emus which taste fantastic in a burger and might make rugby worth enduring for half a minute or so.

Great. Melbourne supporters can book their annual ski-trip this year for the MCG. .

Yeah . . . he's our only small emergency this week.

Are we seeing Geelongs culture crumbling?

Haven't read the whole thread so may have already been discussed - but just curious what happened to that Nakia kid. They went early on him right? I recall him debuting at the start of the year but haven't seen him play yet. Any good? -
Delist Delist State of Origin and trade Tour de Fronce for a packet of NoDoze.

This isn't Nuremburg. Leadership is taking a stand. He had a responsibility to the young players like everyone else if not in ways moreso.

Go on. It's only slander if it's false and if you attribute it to an unnamed source it's deniable hearsay.

Wow. Until I opened it I seriously thought the thread title was referring to some whack-job I Know What You Did Last Summer craziness. I feel relieved.

I'm not saying anything as remotely controversial as Frost being a wimp - just that the MFC are keeping his death from toe-cancer and the involvement of the CIA under wraps.

I think like the standard of umpiring we like to perennially bag the MRP and judiciary but on the whole they/the restructure and results have been far better than in recent years past. The balance between intent and outcome in my opinion still needs to be addressed though with the former attracting more weight over the latter - mens rea or whatever it is for the Whispering Jacks among us.

The olden-day rarity of players not being rats shouldn't come into it. Both testimonies then given equal weight, and the video wasn't conclusive or suggested there was little in the hit. At least he was ready for it - and the hit on Jetta was then worse in my opinion.

Not then Acropolis interruptus

Hopefully Harry won't feel the need to compete with Frost's Bob Marley-proportioned toe injury.

And I hope Howe stays as well and finds form and is given every opportunity to do so and thought the same two years ago but there's something going on and it's not Howe fighting for his next jumbo-sized pay-cheque.

What did Frawley provide us up forward last year defensively or as a leading target? Writing was etched into the wall.

Toump up front on lock-down duties and told he has only the one other possible option to think about – kick ball at goals. Entertaining get-and-go mayhem off half-back to recreate our 2014 last gasp goal all day long. Fitz-and-giggles-Patrick to run with Daniher and provide ruck coverage. Vince and Vines to Heppel and Zaharak. And Watts can go test his progress against Goddard if we’re bored. Get off it. Conspiracies woe is us. Nothing in it and the tribunal got it right. Glad he's playing.

Yeah that worked out well.

If so, it will be the first time we've had a visual on-field representation of the precise moment of stamping since Morton's midfield blunder in the corresponding match a few years back. But I'm not so sure. After working his way into the team, he was injured against the Pies and unavailable for the Saints, and prior to that was moved forward against the Power after doing alright and probably surprised us all down back in his first match against the Dogs. He's since been in the bests or best on for Casey. I think we all have the perception that his move down back by Roos was a last-ditch attempt to salvage a career, but it may be more a simple needs-based part of his and our team's development. If Howe buggers off (and I think we know/think he will) then Fitzy becomes our floating defensive coverage option for second-up spoiling and intercept marks - with the ability to swing forward or pinch in the ruck. Essentially what I imagine we're also looking to do with Frost. He strikes me as a confidence player and I feel should be given a decent run at it in the seniors - starting this week on Joe.

Could the club be in cahoots with GWS and Jeremy? Conspiracy sounding but it wouldn't be the first time there's been a hint of minor regulatory impropriety between the clubs, and there's something that just isn't sitting right with the whole alleged offer last year and events since.

Out: Hird In: Neeld

Haha and their stupid fans were probably speculating they could still make the finals after the bye with a soft back-end schedule. Oh, wait.

Spent the whole of last week arguing for Fitz inclusion at the expense of Spence but yet would consider the current ruck tag-team in this one. Horses for whatever I'm going to bed.

Can't work out if Howe is the new Watts or new Frawley. But speaking of Watts . . .
