A Any team other than BV would have played differently and so then us. We kept up the pressure most of day but I seriously think we were confused by the lack of it in return going forward at times.
-
Tagging seems to be one thing we have under control. Viney underrated with the scalps he's taken this year. Gone the days of McKenzie.
-
I reckon Col would make a great Gaelic footy player. He has an Irish posture. Anyone we can trade for from Eire?
-
I thought the umpiring ok or at least even. There was a push in the back against Harry (second qtr?) after he tackled and rolled underneath and ended up on top that was bizarre but we've copped much worse this year. To Tyson and some others: you don't have to actually make a genuine attempt but have to at least fake it. Been that way forever. It's not that hard.

Like for like for me. No point bringing Grimes back in in my mind unless he can rotate in the middle. If the kids need a spell, then first and foremost mids in Michie etc. to replace. Grimes for Garland or Lamumba alone if we're that keen for his inclusion.

Crows CP differential! Good on the boys.

What's with Harmes raising the arms claim a mark style when he gets possession after it bounces off a pack? Tmac keeps doing the same (albeit after marking it).
-
Rumours? I've already mentally banked it.
-
Have to admit a tinge of excitement seeing Tmac head forward at the start of the game this week (contrary to my opinion), and his defensive work was spot on. But Howe, Cross, Watts and Lamumba with Garland off half-back simply aren't going to cut it most weeks of the year (including next week).

They're a bit like a banana - peel off the skin and . . . (insert comment here).

It's refreshing to be brought down to someone else's level for a change. Mixed emoticons.
-
Or one. Yes, I've been reduced to talking to myself.
-
Was that just a shot of Roos talking to Dawes, Hogan and . . . McDonald as a group?
-
Deeluded, I would follow AIs advice and swap them all including Dawes for one Roughhead.

As posted in the contracts thread, Spence is the only extended ruck option contracted beyond this season (2016). We need to lock down some options now. There was some interest here in Jolly a couple years back. Jamar occupies one spot on the list as security and there are many others who could be cut to make space before willfully ditching Mark.

But on banana-related issues I currently have hundreds of them. They all sprouted at the same time and I'm not sure what to do with such a cache (though I can definitively state that you should never wipe up the sap with a sponge). There's only so many smoothies a man can take. Contrary to common conceptions, banana trees are actually non-regenerating plants. I'm going to send off the scraps to the elephant up the road. The question is though, should I replant?

*K-nob. The filter should be lifted for at least this thread. Enter at you own sensibilities.

Boycott is a bit of a [censored]. 'Well, I think the Australians will have to bat again if they don't make 'em follow on'

Taking a leaf from Terminator Genysis and disregarding any regard for teleological consistency, who of our current team would fit into a Dawks line-up?
-
Hide Hunt under one of Hogan's biceps and we may get away with at least one other.
-
Time for us to move to the NT full-time and sell ten of our matches to Victoria.
-
Spare a thought for Brisbane fans? No.
-
The new generation in a time of an increasingly homogenised culture are desperate to carve out a niche as a point of identity difference and this is how we should market the club as fashionable: Melbourne Demons - Be Original.
-
Well we'll just have to play five solid quarters then.
-
Haha. That fleetingly crossed my mind earlier in the thread. But there's nothing to suggest they're alike except for leg-speed and the fact that that drew a mental comparison is quite telling as to our deficiencies in this regard. For starters, young Hunt appears to be a much harder worker than Sam ever was.
