As mentioned, I sought an answer from an NEAFL coach (and extended family member). Response sounded like nonsense and I'm not sure he believed it. But didn't check to see if he partakes himself.

Just had a thought (rare). Brisbane are in need of forwards and the AFL want marquee players up north - if they made a big dollar play for Howe we could get seriously bent over. Maybe we should offer Jeremy a handsome bridging contract to see him through to free agency so we can maximise the best return and insure against getting screwed? Yeah umm I was sort of responding to HH suggesting he hoped Petracca would became the next Jako. You know, with Christian already being sidelined with a major injury it's not a great hope to have for the kid. As for Jako, he's not the exact reason I support Melbourne but pretty much cemented the idea. Felt like he averaged more scoring shots alone than the entire team together can manage nowadays.

Something about how Gongski is patently wrong that private schools don't necessarily need additional funding in some areas. Was it against the Saints that Hogan had a spell after about 40 seconds? And I recall him half running toward the bench looking confused/arguing a point once after a goal and was sent back.
