  1. Their next 5 years of Academy players are all the best too, Dimma knows what he's doing, go to a club where the AFL wants them to win and will do anything they can. I wonder when they restrict the zoning they get, probably after their 2nd three peat I imagine
  2. Doesn't matter how good the talent is if the team doesn't know how to win, I also Imagine WC want Curtain so don't care and Nth may be eyeing the Sanders and Mckercher duo.
  3. Chandler is a small forward they will never be on 100% of the time, I love his effort though, he has the speed and aggression to impact when he doesn't have the ball something I think Spargo lacks,
  4. Funny how they've lost their best player and we have gained arguably our best back in Oliver alongside our best forward. Also Moore may come in underdone. However losing Melk, is SAD I think he is a big moment player.
  5. Love everything about Bowey but IDK how you don't get Hibbo into this team. Finals are for big bodies, scrappy and contested play. TBH based off of the Sydney game you could argue Salem is in worse form than Bowey but Salem is one of those players you don't take out.
  6. Imagine how good Larkey would look in Red and Blue
  7. Garry Lyon's visit may not be for nothing after all
  8. I think champion data or someone had Trac sitting 4-5 votes behind Daicos going into the last 2 rounds, you'd imagine he didn't poll last week so 3 votes this week is his only chance. I think its between Daicos and Butters.
  9. Hawny For Gawny Predictions: Winners: Max Gawn Runners Up: Adelaide - Following a legal battle that lasts 8 months the 2023 finals series is replayed as the Crows and Sydney replayed the last 90 seconds resulting in the Crows winning and making Finals. Rising Star: Mitch Owens Brownlow: Nick Daicos wins with a record setting 50 points polled as even though he did not play the last month of footy he is Nick Daicos so he was awarded the points anyway.
  10. Unfair to Brodie, was sold a dream and it didn't work out he's too good and too expensive to play in the VFL.
  11. Yes, I agree but on their current trajectory they look like they could pull a north or even what we did, no club should sit at the bottom for 6-8 years, this year has been great purely off the fact that any team can beat any team (except North and WCE) its better for the league as a whole if you don't have these teams rotting at the bottom, especially one as big as Meth Toast.
  12. Winning the Vic Metro BnF would probably get him a chance on someones list but your right we may have taken the punt on 1/20 guys if he wasn't F/S
  13. I don't think you can worry about that, Tassie is still years away, take the best and if they do get scalped then we get some big compensation and hopefully some good years out of them for another granny.
  14. Hawny for Gawny's rebuttal: Yeo - would have to take a paycut Liam Ryan - too expensive (Max would have PTSD too much) Jeremy McGovern - No Todd - Grundy isn't working? lets get an older slower version! Mabior - Chose to go home and is probably on some decent cash but I don't hate it.
  15. I think it was on the couch and Buckley Mentioned this and there was something like 3 serious injuries due to this new technique which keep in mind was banned in rugby if I recall due to the ankle/foot injuries it was causing so often.
  16. I by no means think he is the perfect fit but he has proven he can be a decent player, I also think the being an Unrestricted FA is the biggest thing, considering we may end up using a lot of draft capital to make a play in this draft it doesn't leave a lot to play with,
  17. Won't send TMAC down back, he plays up front for a couple of weeks and sees if he can get into the 1s, he hasn't been injury free since 2021.
  18. I imagine he doesn't want to leave Victoria and the thought of going to a contending team has to be appealing unless a team offers him overs on the contract.
  19. That is true but he has done it for the Blues ok in the past, I think you just get a 2nd rate ruck that knows he will sit in the VFL but gives a chance to be competitive if brought in.
  20. At this point we don't know whether the Grundy experiment works or continues into the further seasons. Someone who fits what we need in a FWD/Ruck is Jack Silvagni who is reported as "unlikely" to remain at the Blues. He is also an Unrestricted FA and if we are to move grundy on I think he fits our needs as a 30% game time ruck who has shown he can kick a goal. What are the thoughts? Would he be too expensive?
  21. JJ was decent today and you have to give him credit, I think many people just think like I do where I don't think he is best 22 at the end of the day and people project that onto him no matter what happens, similar to the hate Hunter often gets.
  22. Most of the time the time frame includes getting them match fit or as close as you can, I heard somewhere Daicos is looking at 4 weeks on the couch then can start training again
  23. He isn't a key ball winner, I actually think that's where he is the worst, he's an elite user and they run the ball through him.
  24. Id say 1 to go, Id rather JJ out for someone later but Sparrow stays, he's been quality this year,
  25. Max said it best in the post game interview, playing footy down there is true footy. Crowd doesn't really have an impact and its always a contested competitive game.
