  1. Votes make sense, can't dispute it while Joe had some soft ones he was having a good game
  2. There's been a lot of comments about who the most important player on this team is and the consensus seems to be either May or Oliver but is there any one as influential as a firing Max Gawn?
  3. Exactly, covers forward and back but the important part is his athleticism, his biggest thing is his speed and leap. Injecting that into the game in the 2nd half is more valuable than a player like JJ who a solid player but doesn't have an xFactor quality
  4. don't forget about Tom "Swallow" Sparrow and Lachie "Ed Langdon" Hunter
  5. MAX GAWN its been a while since I've felt this way but I'm living my name
  6. 6. HAWNY FOR GAWNY - Brody stays out next week, immense, sorry I ever doubted anything about you ever (4th highest rated game of anyone this year) 5. C Petracca - 4 goals, enough said 4. Melk - 2 goals, the winner what a mark. 3. JUD - Charlie Cameron who? (Yes I know he kicked 2) 2. Gus - Helmet 1. Gawn again - BEST PLAYER, BEST BEARD
  7. I don't think Goody is the type of guy to suddenly make the call to take Grundy out ahead of this 2048 point game against the Lions, I think grundy has probably pulled up sore and won't be able to compete, but all we can do is speculate.
  8. I agree, we say we want 3 tall FWDs but we don't have 3, Gawn can provide that structure and create contests/clunk a few while we play JVR and Fritta/whoever, this is only possible if Gawn commits to the time and gets the training. Max is probably better behind the ball but our defense is good enough that it isn't needed.
  9. He always has been, Max has been an average to slightly above average tap ruck but his value around the ground has been what's made him insane. I don't think he is 100% fit after that injury, an older and giant body doesn't bounce back in 5 weeks though he may be healed. If we look at Tommo's acl he was pretty stiff and average last year but this year he's looked decent when in, obviously not the same person but I think Gawn may need a rest against a North or Hawthorn.
  10. I think the problem isn't necessarily with Goody, his entire portfolio is a stingy scrappy defense, which we play impeccably, he obviously isn't the best offensive coach, that's where the staff come into play, they need to be helping him and they should all see that we have no attacking strategy.
  11. I agree, to be fair to him he was good in the first couple of rounds before going down with injury, and did we really expect BBB to excel last week in the rain?
  12. Did you not see the ins? Spargoat to hold it down, couple of big pack crashing contests and marks incoming.
  13. I mean we have dominated statistically, makes sense to me
  14. Could be worse I thought we were gonna get Underwood commentary
  15. Frittata gotta kick that, I forgot how much I hate watching the games at traeger the camera angles aren’t great and there are water drops on one camera …
  16. Chill out, it was a frustrating loss but lets not forget: We dominated Collingwood 2 weeks ago (Score doesn't reflect our dominance), we are coming off a bye (which does have an impact), playing Geelong in Geelong is always tough, and it was Scott's 300.
  17. Yes, but at the same time 33 touches, a goal, 10 clearances, 6 tackles. The tag wasn't impacting his ability to get the ball, him and the rest of the team need to work on not reverting to the "[censored] it Gawn's down there somewhere" strategy.
  18. I think the knee injury is still impacting him, he's a big unit, on the wrong side of 30, and had a knee injury mid season. I expect better but I do think there are mediating factors, also the fact that teams have put even more time into stopping him considering our D-50 exit is May to Gawn 90% of the time
  19. We didn't he's talking about next week against GWS its our home game in the NT, we sell it to them.
  20. What I want vs what will happen are two very different things. My biggest wish is for a sub that has an impact and isn't a role player, like Spargs but as a "dynamic" sub in wet weather my nan would have been a better choice, as someone else said a bigger body like Harmes who tries to make something happen would have been better. Smith shouldn't get dropped at least he competes and it looks as though he's made enough impact to send Petty back, if they dropped Tommo for Petty off last week Petty will stay and I reckon he needs to work himself back in and that will be done in the AFL team not Casey. I'd like Goody to swing the Axe and give the boys a fright, but they will never drop a big name. Expected Ins: Clarry, Bowey, Spargo (I guess) Outs: Jordan, Chandler, Hibbo (Managed, good first 1/2, couple big knocks but also want him for Toby) Kozzie to kick a bag in the NT reminiscent of last year. What I want: To play Geelong at the G' for once where they can't abuse their silly home ground advantage.
  21. So far this year we have played 3 games in the rain. Each time resulting in a loss, it is obvious the conditions hinder the quick Hollywood handballs and offensive tactics we use, so what is the solution? You'd expect the coaching staff to have told the team that they need to adjust to the conditions, but 3 losses later we have lost each game in similar fashion. Is this a coaching error? A team not willing to play the way wet weather game (Besides Viney <3)? A mix of both?
  22. 6 - On Trac for the Brownlow 5 - May (Someone check his pockets) 4 - Rivers 3 - JvR 2 - Lever 1 - Bowey/Gus (if he stays on more votes)
  23. Bit different leaving one Vic club for another isn't the same as Jackson leaving to go home on Silly wages :/
  24. Zorko has to get a week for that or am I just letting my Dorko hate creep in? looks like he was purposely scratching his face
