The lack of change from teh coaches box was so stark today.. i cant defend it anymore.. what has changed in 18 months.. nothing and players are now regressing.. Oliver, brayshay, tom Mc, Lever is teh biggest bust in our recent footy history. Joel Smith selection and positioning in teh back line is mind blowing. What change did Goodwin make in play today.. did Hunt get a run on teh ball? did Melksham move from the 50m arc, why not put smith fwd, give picket a run on teh ball.. its was a disgrace and im almostr done with this club. Im so angry. the club set itself up for a sustrained period of success and something has turned horribly wrong and it starts in teh coaches box.. the p[layers love Goody apparently thats great, but he cant coach. Period.

Bennell just needs time,, lets not get to anxious about why he isnt playing.. miles in the legs.. he will be in in a couple of weeks. Hunt is our only fwd who moves.. has to play..Its melksham thats the real worry at the moment.. he doesnt move, he stands there and wrestles, so does Bailey.. they need to move, open up teh fwd line.. its pretty basic. Watched teh Saints last night, geary led all teh time, left room in behind him, King moved, lead at teh ball.. I think we cna beat the Tigers i honestly do, i think we match up well on them.. if Goodwin and his mates in teh coaches box are pro active. If Oliver is struggling, play him fwd, James Harmes is in no mans land at the moment, what is his exact role.. get him to run with Cotchin.. its what he does best. Rest Gawn fwd.. Play Jackson.. It starts in teh box... and while we bemoan players.. Goodwin is seriously out of form and needs to show us something that suggests he is capable of arresting a run and getting it back on our terms.

I also wonder if Bennell played that he may have had the type of influence that might have won us teh game.. a nice kick inside 50 or a goal himself. I agree though.. we cant play 1 tall forward and keep bombing it in. To me it feels like teh coaching is so out of their depth to solve this that the only way is to play run and gun style and hope we get a fast break goal. Not sustainable at all.

Its time to look elsewhere for a key fwd.. its to hard to get one out of another club.. they are out there.. Ben Brown was swinging away in teh VFL.. You just want to get a player who is capable of taking a big mark. If thats not available.. then we might have one in our midst.. if things keep going teh way they are and teh season is done early.. then Swing May fwd and see how he goes. Tom can go back.. its worth a try.. even if its just for teh last 4 weeks of footy to see if there is something in it.

its pretty poor that nothing has been reported.

Hard to stay invested in this season.. for various reasons but we really have been the team most affected so far.

I love Jack, and he did drive us forward and he is competitive and all that.. but facts are, his kicking isnt great and is that the fwds fault.. i will die on a hill that a moving fwd line creates space.. we dont move.. so what hope have players kicking into the 50 got. Its a real mess.

My concerns with this team are plenty.. but Max wa steh only player that stood up and got us going yesterday, which is great, great captains do that.. but he wa sone out. Although i though May and Lever and Hibbo were really good, in fact our defence held up remarkbly well. I blame our midefield again.. they are such front runners.. it is very frustrating.. the anmount of free space their mids got on rebound contributed to the match being a stinker.. i watched countless times as players ran past Oliver, Viney, Trac to get on the end of the ball. Its something that has to change a mindset.. when its not on our terms then its a disaster. Also Melk is downright selfish, Fritsch thinks he is Wayne Carey and can wrestle his opponent, AVB was so far off teh pace, strange selection, Hannan was good first up and we need a secong big. Brown must play, he leads at teh ball.. only him and Hunt do it. Positive we did not get smashed and should have won, negative is we didnt and not alot has changed when it comes to be agile in games to change the course of teh match. Also how we dont have a fwd coach is shocking!

We play like that and get coached like that today we wont win a game.

That was worse than pathetic.. horrible performance, simply arrogant coaching, and a lack of thought from players. SO angry. Smith is not up to it, Salem has regressed, and what is a Harmes? thats just 3 players.. but my god that was slop.

Nev has been an amazing Demon.. but his propensity to keep flying for the ball suggests he is done.. too slow when the ball hits the ground. Nev and Jones out is sad but makes our team a lot more quicker.

This season sucks.. Carlton and Collingwood going to get benefit of playing Essendon without 8 of their best side.. we miss out on a game after resumption of 1 week and then will likely have to squeeze 2 game sin a week at some stage. Now watch us get injuries in an intra club.

All i keep hearing is about how bad trhis is fr Essendon.. this is shockingly unfair on our season. First they cancelled teh season before our first game.. had to have an impact, now this. We are the ones going to have a heavily compromised season.

I reckon the footy has been really ordinary this year so far, the skill, teh no crowd, teh short qtrs.. this is just adds to teh lack of connection i have to teh game at teh moment. Unusual year and all that i know but its a long way off feeling like it used to.

Its really thrown a bit into chaos and sadly we will be shafted out of this is the game does not go ahead this week. we will have to make it up, it halts any continuity. Its tough for sure.

There are so many ramifications for this.. its pretty bad.. the fallout could be huge.

No game for Dees tomoz. Where it get slotted in now is the intriguing thing? cleary its not fair on both sides to have to play 2 game sin a week while other clubs. Season has to be in some doubt.

Its a great call Martian... might only be a nasty one away from scaring a lot of possible suitors off.

He might not be worth it, but when you leave, other clubs pay overs and he is a good player, would be perfect at Essendon. Maybe Freo, but im not sure of his contract details, if he is contracted then he goes where we send him i suppose.. anyway its all just spit balling, Gus is a considerable watch and act player IMO.

So there is a crouch that is likely ti be out of Adelaide at the end of the year and his salary may get them a first round pick.. we dont have a first rounder this year, i would be into teh Crows big time, they would jump at Brayshaw, they are going to go into rebuild mode, they may have 4 first round picks, they will want to go to teh draft but might be a bit sight unseen on picks so doubt they would use 4 picks on young kids. Angus has not become the player we thought, and if he has another so so year, then i think he is expendable.

Been thinking about this.. and im not ready to hit panic button just yet. Our team consisted of 8 players who had played 20 games or less for the Demons, a backline who had Lever, May, Smith and Rivers, first game they have played together, Langdon and Tomlinsons second game wit teh team, Bennell first game for 20 years and Jackson's first match as a big bloke. It may take a while for this team to get the chemistry going. Which makes me more disapointed in some of the senior players, Jones, Melksham, Tom Mc and Nev Jetta, they didnt stand up at all. I Think Jetta was just ok, let down by coaching a bit with some match ups, but i never saw them once assert themselves. Kossie will come in you would think which will be another 2nd gamer, so experience players and "leaders" are more important than ever in this team. Its on them. Maybe Hibbered back against teh Bombers i think.
