  1. Clarry should’ve asked Rhys why he only took 1 mark and had 3 kicks in the second half of the Prelim after Big O’s arm fell off and if the Cats are gonna try playing a ruckman next year.. Long way to go before any trades happen, bit early for the panic merchants to have everyone sacked already, there won’t be anyone left to sign the paperwork in trade week
  2. Most accurate comment you’ve posted Kent
  3. “The reviews of both the AFL program and the Board will be completed in October and the priorities identified will be communicated to our members.” It’s still September, untwist your knickers.
  4. Winners over the past decade: Priddis, Fyfe (2), Danger, Dusty, Tom Mitchell, Neale (2), Wines, Cripps. The only one I’d even consider picking for my starting midfield ahead of Bont, Trac & Oliver is Cripps. Dusty can play forward.
  5. They also only won 15 games, which wouldn’t have got them top 4 in 2022 or 2023, Brisbane made top 4 in 2021 with 15 wins but much better %. Over his time he’s had the best home ground advantage which means more wins, better ladder position, more top 8 finishes, more top 4 finishes, more prelims but not more finals wins or more flags than Goody because they don’t get to play on the Kardina Park soccer pitch, they get found out a lot.. or maybe they just get gastro, or covid, or dengue fever or something and he’d have a better finals % otherwise
  6. You explained how you think it’s a flawed metric yes, because it doesn’t suit your argument. never said making finals isn’t better, just that Scott has it easier with the best home ground advantage in the comp. As I said we’ll find out how good he is now the last of the guns are gone, or maybe we won’t and he’ll decide it’s time to find new challenges a la Hardwick
  7. I’m always interested in dodgy logic and inconsistency. You’re happy to talk records and metrics but when someone points out Goody’s finals record is better then suddenly metrics aren’t good and what counts is making finals more often, even if you lose more of them..? Cats home ground advantage gets them half way to finals every year, then they crumble an awful lot when they have to play good teams on the G (2022 obviously the exception). We’ll find out how good he really is now that Hawkins follows Selwood into retirement, and Danger can’t be far behind.
  8. Lol I’m needy? Who’s got 30+ posts in this thread chopping and changing arguments to rate Scott over Goody. Fine we get it, you don’t rate Goody. Not sure when prelims became more important than flags but ok. Or why Roos gets more credit than Goody for our flag? But knock yourself out..
  9. Lol, you’re twisting yourself in knots to avoid giving Goody any credit but that doesn’t make your view any better just cos it’s complicated.
  10. 1 flag v 1 flag, those are the actual results
  11. Too many rubbish winners, Neale a two-time winner while Bont hasn’t got one? Give me a spell.
  12. Saved them from his own poor decision making on a couple of occasions, and also didn’t. Might’ve technically hit the target 82% but put his teammates under the pump with most of those. He’s been good but that wasn’t his best, most of this year hasn’t been his best.
  13. On the flip side that would also mean Zorko gets to lift the cup đŸ€ź. Swans for me..
  14. Everyone bags us for not recruiting a key forward, how many years have the cats scraped by without a ruckman? Lions’ ruck had his arm fall off and the cats still couldn’t get the ball out of the middle in the second half.. Scott is good, but his main game is have a bunch of guns and let them do their work. Unfortunately yesterday he backed Stewart who was woeful apart from one tackle, Danger also not great. Should’ve picked De Konig.
  15. It was Weightman, grabbed Pickett’s arm and tried to milk a high contact/holding the man free - correctly not paid to the little con artist
  16. Are you charging by the post for this campaign work @Hawk the Demon? Hopefully it’s not a success fee for getting the Lawrence ticket up at the AGM cos I’m getting the sense popularity is going backwards each time you recycle the same material on here..
  17. Fromgotowoewodin replied to Romey's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
Where is this documented may I ask? Depends on a number of factors, wait and see what is announced I’d say
  18. Definitely bit off more than we could chew a lot in the second and third, don’t have the skills to be trying to hit 30m kicks into the corridor so no idea why they kept trying it. Paxy has the strength but I don’t think they have the speed anymore to get their hands on it in the middle, gets left behind a fair bit.
  19. And we only get one of the current bottom 3 this year. Unlucky..

Stick to your tedious posts about court transcripts, if you’re suggesting we only won the flag (by 74 points mind you) because of the bulldogs travel schedule and covid you can FRO
  21. Goodwin overall % 2013-24 57.10% behind of the current coaches: McRae 68.92 (only 2 years), C Scott 68.32, Longmire 62.99, Hinkley 60.29, Kingsley 60.00 (1 and a bit years), Fagan 57.80% Goodwin finals % 50.00% Behind Mitchell 100 (1 final), McRae 66.67, Hardwick 62.50, Clarkson 61.54, Simpson 58.33, Beveridge 53.85 Equal with Longmire, Kingsley, Longmuir, B Scott, Voss 50% Ahead of C Scott 48.28, Fagan 46.15, Lyon 45.24, Hinkley 38.46 Record stacks up, we weren’t far off in 2023. This year was a downer for a number of reasons but we reset and go again with some tweaks to the coaching structure, some trades and pick 5, some fresher players. And not least importantly, the Robbo the slob doesn’t get to pick when we change coaches, he can get stuffed.
  22. Perhaps you just made that fantasy up? Don’t be obtuse, just because the 3 of them are doing the review doesn’t mean they are joined together like Siamese triplets for the whole time.
  23. You can be such a bore
 yeah?
  24. There are independent eyes, but there are also people who are responsible and accountable for running the club. Complete independence is also complete lack of accountability. I do understand the word external. And hypothetically if the Bombers go another 20 years without winning a final what happens to McCartney, Lewis and EY? Zip. Green and Pert are responsible for running the club, the buck stops with them. If improvement doesn’t come they will be out.
  25. President and CEO doing their jobs and reviewing the operations of the club they manage, with external advice from selected experts in the field. Seems pretty reasonable to me. Alternatively don’t have a review at all, just ask you as you seem to know it all already..
