Time to go Goody?
We are scoring 14% of our inside 50 (goal conversion). AFL average is 24%. 😭😭😭😭

What has happened to Fritta? He used to be straight as an arrow. Now, devoid of confidence. Did he change his mechanics?

POSTGAME: Rd 12 vs St. Kilda
4-7 I read in another thread. Why even bother going there? No advantage whatsoever.

We're Not Dead Yet - The 2025 Season
As of June 1, 2025, the Melbourne Demons' efficiency per inside 50 is an area where they are struggling. Based on available statistics for the 2025 season: * Scores Per Inside 50: Melbourne averages 43.8 scores per inside 50. This is lower than the AFL average of 45.2, and significantly lower than their opponents' average of 52.0. This indicates that when they get the ball inside their attacking 50, they are not converting those opportunities into scores as effectively as other teams, and their opponents are much more efficient against them. * Goals Per Inside 50: They are converting only 14.6% of their inside 50s into goals, whereas the AFL average is 24.1%, and their opponents are converting at 26.0%. This highlights a particular inefficiency in converting inside 50s into majors. * Marks Inside 50: Melbourne averages 8 marks inside 50 per game, while their opponents average 14. This suggests they are not taking enough contested marks in their forward line, which impacts their scoring efficiency. The Demons have been described as "wasteful" and suffering from "inaccuracy in front of goal" in recent matches, which aligns with these statistics. Their inability to convert inside 50 entries into scores has been a contributing factor to some of their losses in the 2025 season.

PODCAST: Rd 12 vs St. Kilda
It even feels like Kozzy plays some of his worst games up there. Pressure to perform in front of his indigenous crowd, maybe.

Maynard unscathed
Suggestion here. Tell him a smother is a footy act. That wasn't a smother. Did he really think he had even 1% chance to touch that ball when he was like 2/3 metres away from where Gus kicked that ball? Nuff said.

We're Not Dead Yet - The 2025 Season
How are we going to win those games when our efficiency at goal is not even 20% or 15% (for inside 50 conversion)? We can do all the best work around the ground but if our players can't kick 25 m out in Front of the goal square... We are cooked!

PREGAME: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
Specially with Turner playing at his current level. Turner can be a very good intercept defender.

Time to turn off the TV, these blokes can't kick for their lives. Footballers can't kick 😭- GAMEDAY: Rd 12 vs St. Kilda
Same old story.- GAMEDAY: Rd 12 vs St. Kilda
Is it me or it feels like Kozzy never plays well in the NT (compared to his high standards)? Just my pov. I may stand corrected though. Perhaps he feels pressured to perform in front of the indigenous crowd?- NON-MFC: Round 12
I said it myself couple of weeks ago when we lost against them.- NON-MFC: Round 12
That one has a very simple explanation. Kicking accuracy, we should've been 5 goals on top of them at 3 QTR time.- Maynard unscathed
And make no mistake their large supporter base probably would make fun of us and Gus. Perhaps they don't care because they are the darlings of the AFL- Maynard unscathed
I think what we want to see, just for once, is something similar to what they did to Langdon after his "all duck no dinner" comment. Tbh the Brayshaw situation is more deserving of such reaction from our team than that silly comment from Langdon. I hate seeing our players being friendly with them even before the start of the game when clearly Collingwood treats the MFC with contempt.- Maynard unscathed
You start to think they are below filth, if that's even possible.- Maynard unscathed
Useless to talk to those people. Got a colleague at work who is a Filth supporter, he is so stubborn and annoying to the point of making me lose my cool. I have since stopped discussing footy with said colleague. They are like horses with black and white blinders. I find some solace in that most of the other colleagues who are neutral to this issue think just the way the rest of the AFL world...the thug is a deadset POS.- Maynard unscathed
Is there a way we can make this information available to the club and players? How much I have dreamed of someone like May or AJ to tackle this fake thug so hard that his whole body hurts. Perfect motivation before KB if you ask me.- PODCAST: Rd 11 vs Sydney
Shout out from the missus, she thoroughly enjoyed sitting behind the Demon Army when we attended the game against Hawthorn. 👏🏻- PREGAME: Rd 12 vs St. Kilda
Viney anyone? He would make us a beast in tackles inside our fwd 50. And surprisingly he is a good kick at goal.- Harry McKay

Or you know... Those F-150 are very expensive and hard to import. Has anyone checked if Geelong has the highest F-150 ownership per capita in the country? - GAMEDAY: Rd 12 vs St. Kilda
