I think based on how dominant GC was in Q1 and Q3 you can expect them maintaining the score gap pretty much unchanged through the last, If they were 100% invested. Unless they were just tired. It would be a first for us, we tend to be the team that runs out of steam in the last quarter.

Comparison: * Christian Petracca's goal assist per inside 50 disposal: 0.148 * AFL average goal assist per inside 50 disposal: 0.169 Christian Petracca's rate of 0.148 goal assists per inside 50 disposal is slightly below the AFL average of approximately 0.169. This suggests that while he's a significant contributor to Melbourne's inside 50s, the efficiency of those entries resulting in a direct goal assist is a little lower than the league average. It was always going to be hard to justify letting Simon go in 2023 after the flag. However, one do wonders if it was a mistake to extend his contract 2 years no strings attached before we knew the outcome of the finals that year.- POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast
It was effectively over by 3QT. Lots of "garbage" time goals. I am not sure we would have the ascendency in the last if GC had kept the pressure.- PODCAST: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast
MFCSS in full force today- POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast
It's very dumb not to include clangers on those KE statistics. That's why I don't like us looking at it only from the POV of Goal/Behind ratio. I like more goals per inside 50 entry.- POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast
Paying A+ grade money to B- ( at best) performance.- POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast
It was a different competition in 2021. The problem is Simon won't keep Petraca and Viney out of the midfield. Can't do much about Oliver.- Time to go Goody?
We definitely don't have a bottom 5 list. At least in my opinion. We may be middle of the road, borderline top 8. The damning part is (what most likely will be) two bottom 5 finishes in a row.- Time to go Goody?
The lack of a KPF is a very damning stain for what was our premiership window between 2022 and 2024.- POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast
Spot on. Probably Simon doesn't want to hurt the feeling of his favourite sons.- Who is our next captain?
Had to be someone from the younger brigade. Someone who will be here in 4- 5 years.- Time to go Goody?
Btw, on Scott. He was basically on the cusp of winning another premiership every season. Perennial top 4 team and for the most part reaching Preliminary Finals. Simon, on the other hand, bar 2018 and 2021 has an abismal record 0-4 in finals (all played at the MCG). You can add to that list some finals like games: Last Rd in 2017 against Collingwood The North Queensland adventure against Fremantle and Sydney in 2020- Time to go Goody?
Don't forget the further damage to our list that keeping Goodwin could cause. Players devoid of confidence or lack of improvements. No FA wanting to come to a sinking ship.- POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast
Not much respect for the Guernsey or the badge this season.- POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast

Who would you guys choose as our new coach? The writing is on the wall. Young or experienced?- Time to go Goody?
Rinse and repeat, how many times I have read the same coping statement? "He needs to respond" He hasn't responded since we lost against Carlton in 2023.- Time to go Goody?
Heck, even just put an interim coach while there's a due process to find out new man.- GAMEDAY: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast
Cue in the rack, garbage time.- GAMEDAY: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast
Most of us don't care, unless there is real change in many areas... Coaching staff and playing list for starters.- GAMEDAY: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast
I'd that take anytime instead of living the dream... Centrelink 😜- GAMEDAY: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast
Really the three amigos (Oliver, Salem and Petracca) have let us and the club down. - Time to go Goody?
