Time to go Goody?
I am afraid a steep drop of memberships is coming then. I personally won't stop my support to the club, but based on what I can see here and social media ... many will.

Petracca & Oliver at the Dees in 2026?
Rivers full time midfielder?

Petracca & Oliver at the Dees in 2026?
Play JV 80% forward.

Have we been consistent under Goodwin? If you really dissect his tenure, it really feels like a roller coaster of highs and lows. Fun ride not gonna lie.

Time to go Goody?
What should have happened after 2023. One year extension of Simon's contract until end of 2025. Already prepared the transition plan for Yze to take over in 2026. 2025 Simon would be coaching as a 'caretaker' with Yze behind the 4 walls preparing his vision of MFC 2.0 post 2021 premiership. One can daydream.

First thing we lost was Yze. That's true. It's also true he didn't deserve, IMO, the 2 year extension before the 2023 finals. Should've let his final contract year in 2024 run and then decide if you offer him a new contract.

Petracca & Oliver at the Dees in 2026?
Isn't he paid 1.2 million at least?

Petracca & Oliver at the Dees in 2026?
But we can't carry Oliver and JV in the midfield for 90% of the game. Both butcher the ball. Unless Viney can have some cameos in the forward half, more as a defensive forward.

Training Ground?
Richmond announcing redevelopment of Punt Road. When are we doing anything? It will be very disappointing if there are no real news/updates about Caulfield by end of the year.

Petracca & Oliver at the Dees in 2026?
Let's see from the three amigos in the mid field: > JV won't be traded ever, heart and soul of the club. > Oliver not easy to find a spot for him outside of inside midfield. So, not very flexible magnets wise. Also, probably as low trade value as JV. > Petracca can play forward, so he offers more flexibility to our list. You'd think the club would rather keep him and he is ahead of the two mentioned above. However, he is definitely the one that has the most trade value. And we may not need to pay any of his salary if he's traded (unlike with Oliver). It'll be a coin toss between Oliver and Petracca. I hope whoever stays if fully committed to the coming years of rebuilding on the fly.

POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast
The XL, Langford and Kozzy have high volume disposal? It will be interesting to see if they can keep the higher efficiency as their volume of leather increases.

POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast
I think based on how dominant GC was in Q1 and Q3 you can expect them maintaining the score gap pretty much unchanged through the last, If they were 100% invested. Unless they were just tired. It would be a first for us, we tend to be the team that runs out of steam in the last quarter.

POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast
Comparison: * Christian Petracca's goal assist per inside 50 disposal: 0.148 * AFL average goal assist per inside 50 disposal: 0.169 Christian Petracca's rate of 0.148 goal assists per inside 50 disposal is slightly below the AFL average of approximately 0.169. This suggests that while he's a significant contributor to Melbourne's inside 50s, the efficiency of those entries resulting in a direct goal assist is a little lower than the league average. The above analysis brought to you by Google AI.

It was always going to be hard to justify letting Simon go in 2023 after the flag. However, one do wonders if it was a mistake to extend his contract 2 years no strings attached before we knew the outcome of the finals that year.- POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast
It was effectively over by 3QT. Lots of "garbage" time goals. I am not sure we would have the ascendency in the last if GC had kept the pressure.- PODCAST: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast
MFCSS in full force today- POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast
It's very dumb not to include clangers on those KE statistics. That's why I don't like us looking at it only from the POV of Goal/Behind ratio. I like more goals per inside 50 entry.- POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast
Paying A+ grade money to B- ( at best) performance.- POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast
It was a different competition in 2021. The problem is Simon won't keep Petraca and Viney out of the midfield. Can't do much about Oliver.- Time to go Goody?
We definitely don't have a bottom 5 list. At least in my opinion. We may be middle of the road, borderline top 8. The damning part is (what most likely will be) two bottom 5 finishes in a row.- Time to go Goody?
The lack of a KPF is a very damning stain for what was our premiership window between 2022 and 2024.- POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast
Spot on. Probably Simon doesn't want to hurt the feeling of his favourite sons.- Who is our next captain?
Had to be someone from the younger brigade. Someone who will be here in 4- 5 years. - Time to go Goody?
