Who would you guys choose as our new coach? The writing is on the wall. Young or experienced?

Rinse and repeat, how many times I have read the same coping statement? "He needs to respond" He hasn't responded since we lost against Carlton in 2023.

Heck, even just put an interim coach while there's a due process to find out new man.

And that's one of his issues. Hence why a lot of us are asking for a new coach with fresh eyes and no strings attached.

Don't try to fix Viney, just use him purely as a HF. No more midfield for you mate.

I think old habits are too engrained at this stage in their careers (for those 3 players mentioned). Even if they worked on improving, which in theory they have, realistically it could take them 2 more preseasons before we can see results in performance on the field. By then Viney will be 33, 31 Petraca, 31 Oliver.

I'd prefer the Hawthorn way, get a young and upcoming coach. Someone that wants to prove himself and the AFL his worth.

Fair point. I think what I really wanted to say is, he had a very good list and probably he is the first one to feel disappointed about not delivering YOY.

It's because we suck again, so they are not after us. 🫠

And I am not taking that away from him. I just don't see our future being under him anymore.

To be honest even making it to another PF at the G. We haven't been back to a PF since 2021.

Goodwin got handed over a strong list from Roos. He then proceeded to underachiever with said list. Flag aside and 2018 aside, I can't feel anything but like wasted opportunity for more success between 2017-2024.

Mind you in 2023 they extended him before finals. Should have let him earn the extension by delivering in September.

So creative that we are just lost out in the wilderness when it comes to kicking at goal? Mind you, it's been the same issues for 4 years.

And please please while you are at it, can someone plan to bring a true KPF sooner than later? Doesn't have to be Curnow or Hogan but someone proven and reliable.
