  1. and your point is ? fyi: I just felt others may care to read about his history. Don't read it then.
  2. Thought you guys may like a bit of history about McAdam.... McAdam hails from Halls Creek, a remote town in north-east Western Australia in the East Kimberley region. A medium-sized forward, McAdam equaled Nic Naitanui’s running vertical jump record at the 2015 Draft Combine but was overlooked until he booted 31 goals in 17 games for Sturt in the 2017 SANFL season. Initially selected by Carlton as a mature-aged pre-draft access pick, McAdam was quickly traded to the Crows in 2018. An injury-interrupted start to 2019 meant McAdam made his Club debut in the SANFL in Round Five. His speed and athleticism were on display and he finished with 22 goals. Made his AFL debut in Round Four, 2020 and played 13 games, taking many Mark of the Year contenders throughout. The exciting goal sneak played 15 games in 2021 and 15 in 2022.
  3. That makes sense as then the Draft is "clean" cut when each Club knows when their next "Call" is coming. The NFL do not have an academy pick system like the AFL.
  4. Good question however I feel you have answered your own by mentioning Fullerton and Shacke. Just feel at times we maybe comparing the "stop gap" last year with Grundy and Gawn where that was a luxury experiment that did not work. Last year we never had this discussion you mention. My concern is for what happens in the after life of Gawn and Fullerton. WE really have in reflection had great rucks over the years. Gawn, White, Jolley, Stynes, Jamar and others.
  5. absolutely correct for they only show the "good" highlights that may represent 3 minutes of game time and not the mistakes one makes.
  6. still, like Caddy if we could manage that
  7. He has been a mainstay of the red, white and black for almost a decade, his most recent campaign was frustratingly bookended by stints on the sidelines through injury. The left-footer has since come out the other side of off-season back surgery, steadily building his body back up and recapturing his form from 2019, which saw him just shy of a podium finish at that year's - Saints Trevor Barker Award. Able to hold down a role coming off half-forward or help drive his side’s outside run, Billings’ adaptability will likely come in handy and I see him as a better class than the likes of Chandler, ( sad to say). As for Hunter, he MUST stay. I like him and frankly, I feel he had a better year than Langdon.
  8. Sorry cannot agree, this is a strong draft hand, and with 2 early pucks as is we stand a better chance this year to gain good talent through our masterful recruiter's hands, 2 into 1 does not go. Look at Caddy, Archer, and William Green who I reckon is a great ruck prospect.
  9. you can forget about Smith for ever....
  10. What about Jack of all trades - Jake Lever.... Phil Egan wasn't bad either - for his one game with us.
  11. Now play me all his worst shots... Ahh sorry, I can't watch for ten hours...don't have enough time... Anyway I want Melbourne to select me with pick 93.. just so I can fill my pockets.
  12. small farms in Collingwood too
  13. What about a re-incarnated David Schwartz?
  14. Why would you trade 13 and 11 for 25 and 23, doesn't make sense. I see us using our 3rd round picks this year for we possibly have up to 8 or 9 delistings or retirements ahead of us. Either we use the fill-in-the-player negotiations swap period for spaces or we upgrade our back-end bundling them for points to snag higher picks.
  15. I have a suggestion... why don't you go coach them next year.
  16. That's all a bit harsh considering "experts" are paid more than you and me to coach a team. Frankly I will leave decisions like this to those that know better. But thanks for your views....
  17. Well guess we are stuck with Goodwin for now but maybe we will get some changes in the coaching panel for 2024 with Yze to get the Richmond job I reckon. In fairness to Goodwin you and I are not in the "inner circle" and frankly I will tend to leave decisions that we think are fair and reasonable to the experts for now.
