Farewell James Harmes
Can't be a F2nd because the Dogs already traded their F1st to GC. They can trade their F4th due to revised AFL rules. I think it needs to be a pick this year. They're in a tight spot for picks to cover Croft and make trades. I wonder if they are trading anyone out?

The 2023 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
I think Dan McKenzie OOC at St.Kilda can play. Has been injured for quite a while but if he passes a medical I'd be keen.

2023 List and Contract Details
I don't have confirmation on these, but I think I heard in association with the new CBA that: The extra Veterans list spot was not agreed Mid season Rookies can stay on the Rookie list for an extra year so it may not be compulsory to elevate Disco

2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
I think there was some discussion associated with the new CBA that mid season rookies could stay on the rookie list for an extra year, so you might be right about Disco's elevation able to be delayed. Reports from the BnF, BBB told posters that he's playing on.

2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
At this stage I only see 3 primary list vacancies to take to the draft. Off (6): Harmes, Grundy, Hibberd, Melksham (re-rookied), Jordon, Dunstan On (3): D.Turner (elevated), McAdam, Fullarton One of those 3 will be Kynan Brown with a late pick, so we'll only be taking 2 live picks to the draft. We'll be trading up, trading out to 2024 or both.

Any word on Angus?
Gus would have finished a clear 3rd in the BnF too if the "accident" hadn't happened.

Any word on Angus?
Thanks, what is his alignment, do you know? I think this is an important consideration.

AFL Trade Radio
Twomey and Beveridge are two of the best analysts and most informed AFL journos. You fancy yourself in the draft and trade space, surely you must acknowledge that Twomey is very good in this area.

Operation Mihocek & Frampton
Sorry it was my mistaken axes labelling - the x axis is time and the y axis expected score and win probability. So as you expect. Don't blame the author for my mistake (now corrected above in the original post for first time reader clarity) The goal scoring position charts are very informative. I am old school on this, a big fan of Edward Tufte. He would be happy with the work we're discussing. Suggest you look just a little bit harder. Did you actually expand the Tweet?

2023 GRAND FINAL
One major factor in Collingwood's win, despite their overall inaccuracy, was their finishing from set shots outside 50 at crucial times. Crisp x 2 (he did it against us too from exactly the same spot), De Goey and Sidebottom all nailed long goals - we very rarely do that. There's ball to be marked around the 50 and we can do that but we rarely convert from there - either the long kick to the pocket for a stoppage or take the risk of a point and turnover. Who do we have with the range and accuracy? Petracca, Sparrow and Rivers definitely have the length. Melksham has both but will be out - maybe McAdam can do it? Petty and Joel Smith may be able to - not enough examples yet. Salem probably used to be able to but seems to have lost a lot of depth. This is a very important asset when the 50 is crowded.
