WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
Agree. If we think that Oscar is going to make it, then is May really #1 priority? I'm less confident that Brayshaw is going to make it now and Vince and Lewis are near the end. I think midfield class is a greater priority. I'm less confident about Weid and Ruck-Fwd than I am about TMac, OMac and Frost in KPD. I think that's #2 priority ahead of KPB.

When will Melbourne break these embarrassing records?
I think it's going to be MCG-like so very different from Subi which will be good. Altho maybe Subi suits our style too? It will be interesting to see how we go there. No KP this year which is very narrow.

When will Melbourne break these embarrassing records?
I think it's not a coincidence - we've definitely played better footy at the narrower grounds - Etihad and Adelaide Oval. I think maybe our zone holds up better.

The Petracca v McCartin debate reprised
Weed is a beautiful kick too. That's very important for a KPF.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
I don't see the glaring need - TMac, Omac, Frost, Hibberd - we could groom Keilty back there too but we're choosing to groom him fwd-ruck - there's a message there.

In Jason Taylor we trust!
It was good list management. GWS got 2 top 10 picks for him and still have an awesome midfield.

In Jason Taylor we trust!
Cultural issues and player retention failure originating from poor list management. GWS have not experienced this.

In Jason Taylor we trust!
Just like Gold Coast eh? SOS gets a lot of stick but GWS are flag favourites and GCS are struggling. I think his list management has been pretty good. As posted earlier he hasn't sold the farm for the GWS "rejects" and they are better and younger options than the rubbish he started with. Lets see where they are in 5 years. I think we know it's a long haul.

Agree. We might have our eye on someone like Hunt and have a fair idea of where the competition is - I think that's why we took him at 57 when we did. If so we will know whether 57 this year covers us or we need to upgrade. Dunn + 57 + 59 for 47 could be a win-win anyway if we're only looking to draft 1 and upgrade 2.

Our desire to use 2017 2nd means we have someone in mind around 29 this year and/or we don't want to waste an entire year of prospect analysis by JT and the recruiting team by having first pick at 57. If we have to do 29 for Hibberd it should be possible to trade next years 2nd to one of the clubs who end up with multiple 2nds this year.

O'Meara would go in the ND. Hawks are reported to be working on a deal with Brisbane for pick 3. O'Meara 100% at Hawthorn.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - DECLAN KEILTY
Keilty is good but I'd pick McInerney ahead of him if it came to the crunch.

What is the point you are trying to make? The players have been found guilty by the relevant tribunal of breaking the regulations of the sport they signed up for and have been punished accordingly by being banned from participating. This is all entirely appropriate. The "court", the regulations and the punishment.- WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB – JAKE MELKSHAM
No-one is suggesting the Essendon 34 are convicted criminals. They are convicted by a tribunal of breaching the regulations of the body concerned i.e. WADA via AFL. It's like players found guilty of striking at the AFL tribunal. Are you saying they're are not really guilty because it's not a court of law?- WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB – JAKE MELKSHAM

Jake Melksham is a convicted (subject to appeal to Swiss Court) performance enhancing drug cheat, he has to live with it and no amount of rationalisation can change that. He has also served his significant penalty and deserves every chance to create a new legacy for himself to be remembered by - hopefully as an MFC premiership player.- WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MICHAEL HIBBERD
Is that the sound of a bell? You seem to be only able to comprehend "attractiveness" as a binary concept - not attractive or attractive, vacuum or black hole. But attractiveness is a graduated interval scale. It is clear that Simon Goodwin's peanut butter on toast is more attractive than Mark Neeld's [censored] sandwich even if Patrick Dangerfield prefers crayfish on brioche served by Moggs Creek mermaids and wont eat either of them. [censored] sandwich - Peanut butter toast - Crayfish on brioche. Get it? Anyway, you wont be the last dueler whose hand was blown off and face was blackened by the back-fire of his own malfunctioning ill-maintained muscat. No, the fact that Jesse Hogan has not yet re-signed does not refute my argument that we are now more attractive. In fact it's quite possibly the reverse - that he'd already be gone if we weren't. The indisputable, uncontradictable, empirical evidence of this that you're looking for is that Jack Watts and his father both said that he would have left and not re-signed if things hadn't improved at MFC. Apparently Michael Hibberd likes peanut butter.- WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MICHAEL HIBBERD
I said "we improved our attractiveness", I didn't say that "we are a preferred destination for a high profile player". Are you seriously suggesting that we are not now more attractive than we were at 2 wins and 50%? News report of Collingwood interest in O'Meara apparently passes your stringent evidence based approach though? I said "WE improved OUR attractiveness" i.e. relative to our previous unattractiveness, not relative to Essendon or Richmond. - WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB – JAKE MELKSHAM
