  1. His point isn't to predict the order, it's pick the best players. Clubs get it wrong all the time - Fiora, Fyfe. Only time will tell.
  2. Wow that would make just 60 actual picks all together
  3. Source: 2014 Melbourne Guernsey Numbers
  4. What happened to your Lennon crusade?
  5. Is there any significance in the players shown? : )
  6. They certainly do things their own way down there.
  7. Welcome Aidan. I imagine Kelly O'Donnell is responsible for identifying these mature players and he had some success last year with M.Jones, Terlich and Clisby. We've got a lot of midfield soldiers on the edge of the best 22 now - McKenzie, Nicholson, Evans, Kent, Tapscott, Jetta, Bail, M.Jones now add Michie and Riley. I'd be more keen on some X-factor and a KPB. Maybe we can get some at 40 or the RD or maybe there just there isn't any this year.
  8. I really hope we pick Freeman because if we do it means that we believe he can transfer his very desirable attributes to the AFL, he's the most exciting prospect. However I won't be disappointed if we don't pick him if he's available because that probably means we have doubts. If someone takes him before us I'll follow his progress with interest.
  9. Latest strange goings on: http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/st-kilda-cuts-to-shortlist-for-new-coach-20131110-2x9vk.html So Chocko vs nobody so far. They're gonna interview 2 further current AFL assistants but they are not Rob Harvey, Ratten, Richardson, Goodwin, Tudor or Burns - who's left?
  10. Will they be doing the horrible 10 to 1 countdown again? Stupidest idea ever.
  11. FMD! Those are quite clearly stats AGAINST! See Goals column for the GWS and Freo rows. Only you Stuie, only you.
  12. Yes agree - not exactly all win but minimised lose
  13. That's not the full story - there's another option in there - we match the offer, but he still insists he wants to go to that club and he's unsure he can get there via the draft - then we can trade him to that club (or another club if he agrees).
  14. Yes, I heard a grab where he said there were a few chapters still to run in this story.
  15. Roos has favoured co-captains. Captains: Grimes, Jones, Dawes Leadership: Garland, Cross, Clark I think 6 is a good number and this combo gives 2 per line. Maybe it's a stretch to include Cross since he's been here 5 minutes but it's hard to leave him out and hard to replace him from our midfield set.
  16. Hopefully sooner than later Gawn or Spencer replaces Jamar for good but it hasn't happened yet. Clark needs to play 2nd ruck otherwise we're top heavy forward if all of Clark, Dawes, Hogan and a 2nd ruckman play - even though that's the R1 team I selected in that thread I'm not happy with it - I'm not sure Clark is ready to ruck R1 but let's hope he is.
  17. If you want Nahas, even as delisted FA, then you have have list space to fit him in and therefore be prepared to give up pick 57 or Jetta or Nicholson for him.
  18. If one has listened to him any time in the past number of years one will realise he has progressed a very long way from there.
  19. Think Buckley will be a very successful coach - multiple flags. BTW, I note that the OP doesn't suggest that Bucks is a "doomed Malthouse assistant"
  20. This sounds believable. WC was happy to trade down to 11 and it's quite likely I think that Acres and not Sheed has been their target all along.
