  1. There's a list like this produced each year, it's the Best & Fairest, which is great. But it's not really meaningful in terms of importance to future success. You have Tom Bugg higher than Petracca, Stretch, Salem, Brayshaw, Oliver, Weideman? Lumumba ahead of anyone? Surely you're having a lend with this comment? Surely?
  2. Jake Spencer Knee TBC in the injury list http://www.afl.com.au/injury-list There's not much behind Max Gawn now with Mitch King out for the season.
  3. Was Mike forced to interview Jacko?
  4. The much maligned Matt Jones had 30 & 4 against Freo. Hill is an ordinary player in the right place with the right attributes at the right time. Really I can't think of a bigger passenger on the greatness bus.
  5. Brad Hill - 75 games, 3 flags. There's no justice is football.
  6. Agree and posted similar in the VFL Finals are importannt thread.
  7. I think there's a difference in development strategies for different roles. We've got Frost, OMac, Hunt, Wagner playing at MFC in the backline because the important development there is to gel as an AFL unit with TMac and Jetta. They're not going to get that at VFL level. Meanwhile we've got Weideman, Hulett and Oliver working on specific individual attributes e.g. defensive play, spread, that they can learn at VFL level
  8. No I don't know, I don't follow the TAC or U18 champs. But I think that is definitely a future option.
  9. I've probably missed a few. I thought premiership success and culture would benefit MFC but it didn't. 10. He's a great mark and a nice kick and he attacks the contest - I'm very bullish, if he doesn't make it forward, he'll make it back. I really like Hulett too, he's good at ground level.
  11. Agree. Prendergast was par on early and late picks (great teams are better than this of course - hopefully Taylor is). Prendergast's big failure was these picks in the 10-20 range. 0% hit rate is an absolute shocker - we should have 3 or 4 very good players in their mid 20s from these picks and that would be very handy right now.
  12. I used to think this but winning all those flags for Sandy in the 2000s didn't make any difference.
  13. Two Casey matches on TV in incredibly windy conditions and apparently the Weed turns into a cross between Cook and Juice!
  14. No he means a pick somewhere in the 350 to 400 range. Probably omitted to say Rookie Draft.
  15. Mate, I changed my user name to avoid being confused with you.
  16. MFC WC diff Average Age 23.2 25.5 -2.3 Average Games 66.7 107.5 -40.7
  17. Jones only 2 years left and Bernie gone possibly this year, definitely next? - Rubbish Jones likely to play 4-5 further years and Bernie 2-3 further years. By then each will be 32-33.
  18. Wow MFCSS at its finest. You do realise that we got pick 3 - Angus Brayshaw, as compensation for Frawley's departure. Only 10 years ago Hawthorn were struggling and Kennett wanted to sack Clarkson - things can turn around.
  19. Dunn and Garland aren't getting a run at Melbourne, maybe we should try to pick one of them up?
  20. I don't think Dawes has ever shown the talent that Hogan has and with Dawes is now in his late 20s while Hogan is in his his early 20s, I don't think we can rely on Dawes to cover the loss of Hogan.
  21. Quoted for double like. How hard is it to understand?
  22. I find that scenario impossible to believe. Sounds like "Scully to Richmond" to me.
