Here's a better version IMO: https://squiggle.com.au/ Live Squiggle

Tom Scully gets a bad rap. He would have been totally insane not to take that GWS offer and stay at the basket case that was MFC at the time. in the AFL players still don't say they are leaving until they do - look at Tom Lynch. "...lied to dying Jimma's face" - spare me! I'm totally over it - Hogan is at the club as a result.
  3. It appears that the team spirit is really good at Casey - plenty of AFL listed players and they all seem to be pulling in the same direction. It really showed in a tough uncompromising effort. Tyson, Pedo, Bugg, JKH, Weid, Hannan, Kent, Balic, Wagner - all going hard despite probably being disappointed to not be playing AFL. It's a credit to Jade Rawlings.

Don't think anyone at Casey will be much fresher than the Darwin boys after that slog on the weekend. Bernie should come in, probably for Lewis or Smith.
  7. Yes it's a good point and Nev can fly too. It could be a show stopper. Dion is 179cm.
  8. I must have been mistaken.
  9. No the umpire (incorrectly) thought it hit the post so that is what the video evidence needed to contradict - I thought it did contradict it but apparently not.
  10. Yes it appears that way with Frost vs Petty and I was pleased for Frost, but I can't say that with 100% certainty. Frost may have been torched against St.Kilda and Petty may have played well last night - taking into account what happened further up the field and the quality of the opposition. Billy was very good and played with uncharacteristic confidence. His biggest problem previously has been hesitation with the ball but he really took the game on. If he can sustain that it will be great. I admire ANB for getting the most out of himself, but his lack of football skills could cost us a flag.
  11. I wish we tried JKH as small lock down defender, Neville backup / successor. He is clean, competitive, agile and a neat kick. It's his best chance of making it at AFL level. I know we're trying Dion there with some success. I liked Machaya, clean and competitive. Flash Gordon - oh boy - horrible.
  12. AFAIR Happy Hammond was on 7. Uncle Norman and Tarax Club on 9.

I think our problems with defensive running and connection inside 50 have been exacerbated by some selection and role issues. I don't think Tyson can play that wing role, he has to play inside mid or not at all. I think we missed Fritsch in that wing role yesterday. I would have omitted Tyson, retained Bernie and moved Salem up to the wing with Fritsch. That gives us more defensive run and much better delivery into F50. I see Joel Smith covered the most metres and had 9 intercepts which is promising for such an inexperienced player. I was in favour of bringing Petty in for structure and as Goodwin said , the problems were further up the field. We need 2 talls in defence, Frost will never be a premiership player, just like Bugg - move on. Dec Keilty was out the previous week, Petty was the logical choice - I hope we persist with him against Freo. Defensive running is supposed to be ANB's bread and butter - he's a very honest trier who gets the best out of himself - I admire him but I'm not a fan. 1 tackle. Stretch may be the preferable option - he has great running power and has some good form at Casey which should be rewarded. It's a tough ask because he has been playing as starting mid at Casey and has been playing well and we'd be asking him to come in as defensive forward. JKH had the same experience last year and really struggled. I'm a Hannan fan but he had a shocker and has to go back to Casey. Spargo, Kent or Garlett are the potential replacements. Jeffy would be worth a try - 7 tackles at Casey is a promising return. In: Vince, Stretch, Garlett Out: Tyson, ANB, Hannan Earlier in the year we were scoring a lot of goals from close range with players sharing the ball. Opposition has woken up to this and defends that area strongly. We need to try scoring from longer range. I'm very positive about our prospects - we had a very young and inexperienced side again on Sunday, we'll definitely get there. The thing we supporters have control of is our own emotions.

Would be a perfect pick-up for us - class, contested ability and leadership. He's exactly what we need. Is from the same draft as Nathan Jones, and subject to medical assessment can play 3 more seasons.
  16. Very proud Melbourne supporter. Love Simon Goodwin: http://www.melbournefc.com.au/video/2018-06-23/rd-14-simon-goodwin-postmatch We were super hard at it and just weren't able to convert our opportunities. We were terrific in a hostile environment and the players committed to the contest incredibly bravely. We can correct the problems connecting with the forward line and we learn more from the losses in the long run. We do need an extra bit of class and experience. Marc Murphy would be a very good pick up for us.
  17. Collingwood- just another sleeper under the tracks as the Demon express powers on to the flag.
  18. Good on you for following the under age footy and providing an insight. What this illustrates is how meaningless talk of "2018 super draft" is. No-one really knows. It's only now that there's some real insight into the quality of the 2015 Draft - Schache, Oliver, Francis etc ...
  19. and 2/10 for the top 10!
  20. Should I value your judgement? Here's your post from earlier this year in the corresponding 2017 draft prospects thread (with their actual draft position in brackets added by me): How did that go for you? 3/10 in the top 10 9/20 in the top 20
  21. Highlights package = grain of salt. But there is some tremendous judgement of the flight and one grab marking in that package - it's hard to fake.
  22. What I mean is this: if true that man-kind has only contributed 3% to the total CO2 in the atmosphere since 1850 as you claim, then such a small percentage cannot possibly be responsible for climate change. Even the most superficial analysis can understand this. That's why what you posted stood out to me on even a cursory reading. Can you please link to the "commonly referred to discussions re mankind's percentage contribution" that you base this on? I will do some investigation.
  23. Wow that would be some revelation! Even on the most cursory analysis, if true, it is impossible to reconcile with man-made CO2 induced climate change. Who is "they"? Very keen to see your source for this.
