The Breaking of Nathan Jones
If Nathan Jones is the worst player in our 22 this season we are going to have a very good side in operation.

OPPOSITION WATCH: Rd 1 vs West Coast
We're in flag mode now, we need to know if we're up to it or not and if not why not. We need to put WC at full strength to the sword on their own dung heap and not have to see them again until the last weeks of the season. If we can't do it we need to work out why and fix it. Too many times we've fallen at this hurdle in big finals. It's time to rectify that.

It's a massive bridge from 3 turnovers to your "19 intercept marks" You were clearly implying that Hurn and McGovern's 19 intercepts is a huge number. "Just looked up to make sure, and Hurn and McGovern had a total of 25 marks in that game (including 19 intercepts). Geez." However two of our defenders had more - that's why it's relevant. Don't post bullsh1te and you won't be called on it.- Jack Viney a Liability?
Viney is credited with 3 turnovers, Salem had 7. You also neglected to say that Josh Wagner and Marty Hore had a total of 20 intercepts between them - 10 each. Keep digging and you'll pop up in a deserted Wuhan street shortly.- OPPOSITION WATCH: Rd 2 vs GWS
He is a big out but they've got plenty more to replace him.- Jack Viney a Liability?
Nice first post Si.- Jayden Hunt

I think North rely on their best players, the issue is that they are senior. Results need to come now. It would have been doubly difficult for North fans "death-riding" our season for an early pick. Either we're better than they thought or their future is horrible.- Training Ground?
My informed info is that Gosch's Paddock surface is not fit for purpose particularly mid-winter because it's open to public foot traffic. The training surface there directly caused in-season injuries last year. We will need to prevent foot traffic for this to be a meaningful solution.- Max Gawn is Captain in 2020
Well the club hasn't sat on its hands after the disastrous 2018 - new captain, new senior assistant coach, new fitness manager, 3 new senior recruits (Langdon, Tomlinson, Brown), taken an uncharacteristic but welcome risk with Bennell, traded up to have 2 early first round picks. Mahoney and Goodwin are the main constants from last year and I appreciate that some here would have had them first out the door. I don't believe in changing everything at once, you need some continuity and I'm a big believer in Mahoney and Goodwin. It will be interesting to see how we go - their reputations and jobs are on the line.- Petracca Closes in on New Deal
Price and term heading north quickly. Sign him long term now.- Max Gawn is Captain in 2020
Drafted by big bad Barry Prendergast.- Gawn Set to Be Named Sole Captain
I thought it was an element.- Mooney backs the Dees
No our 2019 was horrible but so was Richmond's 2016.- NON MFC: 2020 Marsh Series
I was there in 72 when we stormed home only to lose by a point. And again in 91 when the Saints stormed home and we held on by a point. Lucky to get up Clay St alive. If we'd gone up Linton St I wouldn't be here posting.- Northey era vs Daniher era
... era.- Mooney backs the Dees
Yes I agree that the Saints should have won the 2009 flag. I think if Geelong had won as they should have in 2008 then the Saints probably would have won in 2009 - justice would have been done and Ross would have a flag. That's the most star-studded line-up not to win a flag since Geelong under Malcolm Blight in 1989-1995. Malcolm went on to get his flags, Ross - not so much. - Jack Viney a Liability?
