  1. I love and value Max but quite frankly Naitanui smashed him in R1
  2. Good, well researched Gawn vs Grundy article here: Splitting Max Gawn and Brodie Grundy as the AFL's best ruckman is almost impossible
  3. As has been posted in other threads the players love playing for Goodwin and a number have stated they came to the club because of the impression he made. But don't conclude this means he's soft. Renowned hard men Brendan McCartney, Jordan Lewis and Bernie Vince all talk him up and they don't need to. Goodwin has the necessary intensity. Supporters who complain they don't see it in post match interviews should reflect on the Mark Neeld years.
  4. Where can I see this data? I saw it reported for R1 in the AFL Fantasy news.
  5. Have you been inside the rooms?
  6. Traded Watts and Hogan and dropped his mate Hibberd. I don't think lack of edge is a problem.
  7. Seriously? Dumb as dog doo-doo!
  8. Some aggressive selection but apart from Lockhart I can't really lament any of the outs. OMac and Bedford are replaceable. Hunt in is a big surprise and Smith a surprise foretold. It's a dynamic explosive pacy side.
  9. Look it is very exciting but he's been here before at Freo: WAFL games for Peel thunder 2016: 1 game 2017: 4 games (All late in the season) He played all 4 games late in the season then the last 2 dockers games of 2017. 2018: 11 games 2019: 4 games So yeah 2 AFL games in 4 years. Yet Freo let him play in the WAFL to build up his fitness and endurance. Slowly by letting him play half a WAFL game then 3/4s of a WAFL game then a couple of Full WAFL games then play for the dockers
  10. Yes agree. I was thinking about the number of MCG games we might get this year in total. Hopefully 10 or 11.
  11. Plus at least one possible away game at the MCG vs Collingwood, Richmond or Hawthorn.
  12. Look I'm optimistic but it should be noted that he got up to play for Peel Thunder in the WAFL a number of times and broke down. He has been this far before. If he can sustain it at even 80% of his original capacity he'll be one of our best players.
  13. We've got 45 on the list and I think only KK and Nietschke are injured, VDB and Bennell seem to be playing match simulation at training, so that is 43 to select from. Of that 43 I think only Jackson, Jordon, Rivers and Bradtke have played at AFL level and I think the first 3 are probably ready to go. So I think we've currently got 42 to choose from. IMO, much to chagrin from various quarters - OMac, Hibberd and ANB will all play.
  14. "Harley Bennell's Demon debut bigger than Chicxulub"
  15. You must've missed JV in R1?
  16. It was in 1964 at least - where you are stuck.
  17. Thanks for the help! Do you know if this is still valid: https://help.kayosports.com.au/s/article/How-to-Apply-my-Club-Member-Offer#New If so maybe I need to request an email from the club Edit: Looks like a "No" This offer is valid for redemption up until April 9, 2020.
  18. Yes I have to pay extra for those devices though. It's a Sony Smart TV about 3 years old but it's not an Android model.
  19. It is a decent outcome but IMHO all the games should be FTA. I don't have Foxtel and my Sony Smart TV is only a couple of years old but is not Android so doesn't support Kayo. If this was a normal season I would definitely be going to this match - I'm willing to pay for that but not Foxtel. How am I supposed to see this match?
  20. Anyone know what's happening with TV coverage? I don't have Foxtel or Kayo and in the original fixture I was either going to the game or could see in on FTA for all but one game. Is this game going to be FTA? Under normal circumstances I think it wouldn't be but I would go to the game. I'll be [censored] off if I have to pay a subscription to see it.
  21. Hawthorn have to win it in the next 2 years because after that their list is totally stuffed. I think it is possible that they could win in that timeframe if everything goes right for them - they're at least equally as likely as us. But we've got 5-8 good years ahead to pull it off.
  22. I've posted this before but I cannot understand why this tactic isn't used more often, or at least kick to space if there is any. The amount of times I've seen us go in the air to say Jeffy one out against a tall defender drives me crazy. Just kick the dribbler, most players can do it. Kozzy one out vs Hurn with the dribbler coming in ...
  23. afl.com.au still doesn't have the final teams!
  24. This post is AFL related.
  25. I believe I heard Dr.Norman Swann on ABC's excellent Coronocast podcast: https://www.abc.net.au/radio/programs/coronacast/ That data from China suggests that about 80% of infections were undiagnosed. If that's the case in Australia our current infection tally is 700 (diagnosed) x 5 = 3,500. 25 million / 3,500 = approximately 1 in 7000 Australians are currently infected. Approximately 400 AFL footballers participating in R1. Likelihood that one is infected is approximately 1 in 18. You can make up your own mind whether it is reasonable or not to go ahead with the football.
