  1. Jeff White's winning goal against the Doggies in '05 was the best moment I've had. Closely followed by the Fremantle win this year. And our victory against the Saints was also awesome.
  2. Yeah. A post like that is really only useful with the aid of a time machine.
  3. LOL! Closest thing to an "I was wrong" you'll ever read from Yze Magic. Even the "great" get it wrong sometimes.
  4. Truer words never spoken.
  5. What about A Wall from Casey. 3m tall, not very mobile, poor leap, but tough as bricks. Not a great tackler, but he makes up for that with his great bumping skills. Has lightning reflexes. Handpass the ball to him and you'll get it back just as quickly. Never caught holding the ball. Can play in any position. Great endurance - never gets tired. A good prospect. Seriously, just pick up a kid and give him a chance. "Better the devil you know than the devil you don't" does not apply in the PSD.
  6. I think that's well and truly happened already! I think it was supposed to be saying that Melbourne players shouldn't have attended a function put on by the group funding most of it's - still contested - Casey expansion, the idea being that a football club shouldn't take sides in a community row. So I suppose it's bad news. And on the topic of Cameron Bruce, who here really thought that any other choice would really have been made? Brucie is already our Captain, plus he's the only guy who played every game this year. The footy world obviously holds him in higher regard than his supporters do. Given Brock McLean's off-field antics and Brad Green's fleeting desire to leave the Club, I was sure that, despite what we all want, neither they nor Brad Miller (my personal favourite) were going to get the job. Having said that, I don't think a decision has been reached yet. I think Bruce and J-Mac are still acting captains until an actual announcement is made.
  7. Well given that poster is both Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde, each of them is entitled to his opinion. One of them must have double posted, though. But then Big Neita had to come along and draw attention to his/their schizophrenia. Nice going! Now you've probably gone and made him/them/it upset.
  8. Perhaps it's John Meesen? But Moloney sounds like the best bet. You know it's the off-season when you have to resort to this to get your footy fix.
  9. Well thank you! I'll be here all week. All I need is an article about Dane Swan and Paul Roos and I'd be set. Not to mention Ross Lyon.
  10. If you told him that, I'm sure he'd just tell you to go [censored] yourself. Some people just don't work that way. Nathan is who he is. And that's not an AFL footballer.
  11. Maybe North should go after him?
  12. Ouch.
  13. The first thing I noticed about this picture, though, was the big cricket pitch roller in the background. Man, are we starting early or what?
  14. What about the "That's Me!bourne" campaign? I don't know if it's high-budget enough to become our major sponsor, but surely we could come to some agreement?

    Belzebub59 . . . Inventor of both common sense and the elipsis (. . .) . . . Cramming as much of both as is humanly possible into every post . . . Keep it up . . . 'Bub . . . or . . . else . . .
  16. Has anybody set up a poll here asking why people support the Demons? Would that be worthwhile?
  17. I actually think Eastie Boyz, despite what his user name suggests, is actually one of this site's better posters. Having said that, his post just then probably wasn't one of his greatest.
  18. This week makes me realize just how far away we must have been from picking up Chris Judd. For what it's worth, if it were me, there's no way I'd even consider not playing with my brother. And it's not just the fact that Warnock didn't want to come to us, but that he absolutely bent Fremantle over by flat-out refusing to deal with any Club other than Carlton, who could then just dictate terms to the Dockers, knowing full-well that should Warnock have made it to the Pre-Season Draft, we'd never have picked him up, since no Club would want a player that didn't want to be there. I'd just like to see that son of a [censored] beanpole jump into Sandilands for a whole game, then travel to Melbourne and have Mark Jamar and Paul Johnson go nuts at twenty or thirty center bounces. He'll be wishing for less game time soon, that's for sure. As for Brent Prismall, I wish him all the luck in the world. I think he showed Warnock a thing or two about how to conduct yourself during Trade Week. Just keep your mouth shut and don't badmouth other Clubs. I'm not bitter that Warnock didn't get here. I am upset, however, that he wouldn't even consider playing the next ten years with his brother, something I'd love to be able to do.
  19. On ya, CB. We need to take a stand against these things. Also, when referring to Draft Picks, use the terms "better" and "worse," not "higher" and "lower." Draft Pick No. 3 is "worse" than Pick 1. But "lower" could mean both "a smaller number" (1) and "worse" at the same time.
  20. Goddamn Carlton! Is there any end to their evil?
  21. You've every right to be suspicious, 'Bub, but I think the idea is that since this is such a significant trade this year, with so many other trades relying on this one being resolved, the AFL feels that in order to help Trade Week run smoothly, it has an obligation to step in and help Fremantle and Carlton to a resolution, one way or another. Keep in mind that there's a difference between "mediation" and "arbitration." If, at the end of the week, both Carlton and Fremantle are unhappy, then you know the mediation has worked. If only one of the Clubs is unhappy, then arbitration has probably occured. We'll see . . .
  22. Wait! Before you go, what happened to your avatar? EDIT: Obviously long gone. Maybe traded also.
  23. Seriously, guys. Speak English, would you. It's one of the things that used to make this site great.
  24. On ya, 'Bub. We'll be expecting a report back.
  25. The guy is tremendously underrated. Mark my words, in two years time, we will have one of the best back-lines in history. I'm excited! "Big Kev" excited.
