  1. Jack Watts just shat himself twice in a row dropping 2 uncontested marks. The first would have cost us a goal without the brilliant defensive work of Nev Jetta. The second was just terrible.
  2. JKH lively but ineffective.
  3. Dawes' only chance of getting a kick is from a free. I love the man, but he's really a shite footballer.
  4. Bernie Vince just endearing himself to the Crows fans who might have been on the fence about liking him still.
  5. I don't care if we win or lose this game (well, obviously I do), but I just want to see this kind of manic pressure for an entire game at least once in my life.
  6. JKH giving us some run, but also showing why it wasn't that big a mistake to drop him.
  7. Roo's first reaction (before he remembered he's a Crows man) was that it was holding the ball. I'll take that. Garlett intercept mark inside 50, but has to work on his set shots.
  8. We're all over them so far this quarter. I'm liking this quite a bit.
  9. I think we should give a little credit to GWS last week. They were ridiculously good in the second half, and everything went their way. Fast running teams like them will give us a lot of trouble. Contested games like this will suit us a lot better.
  10. Two heads are better than one.
  11. I thought somebody stabbed River Phoenix. Or was that just in that movie?
  12. An talented but injury prone ruckman from the Brisbane Lions? Haven't we gone down this path before with not too much success?
  13. At least it wasn't cross-cut...
  14. I meant "reason" as in "legitimate reason." But all this "players should watch more footy" that we're all spouting might actually be wrong. Surely it would be easy to do a player survey of how many games per week each player watches. Correlating "most improved" players with "minutes of footy watched" would be an interesting statistic.
  15. The only reason I could see for a player not watching other games of footy is that he wants all his football instruction to come from his coach. That way he can do exactly what his coach wants him to do without any interference from his own ideas or other games. But other than that, if you're not watching the best then how can you know how to be the best?
  16. Ever heard of homework? Every third grader in Australia does it.
  17. I think the stars could stand to be white, but I love it either way.
  18. There's actually a shitelode of sugar in a block of chocolate unfortunately for us all.
  19. I do a bit of running myself, and I've always found that a pasta meal is just about the worst thing I can eat after a long run. I guess that just shows how important it is to listen to your own body when it comes to health and fitness.
  20. You're both wrong. The answer is to figure out what everyone else is going to do to stop whatever is currently effective. Then while they're all busy beating last year's game plan, we'll be beating them. If we know scissor beats paper and the premiers are paper, then we need to be rock, so we can beat all the scissors who are trying to beat the paper.
  21. We need to look at what the Premiership team does, guess what teams are going to do to stop it, and then to whatever stops THAT. It's called "metagaming," and it works.
  22. Here's a thought: GWS were really really good that quarter. We're a bad side too, but give the opposition some credit.
