I don't see Davey exclusively in the forward line, not deep anyway. But if his role would be to start forward, get to the feet of Clark and Watts, and to occasionally deliver into the fwd 50 - then I am all for that. But we all know that the HBF is the place to regain form...

And by that I mean that I can run a 3km time trial in 13 and a half minutes which is pretty good for a guy my size but am pathetically slow compared to the similarily sized 22 year old in my team destined for bigger things. Davey compared to elite endurance runners (which we have) is going to look like he is struggling.
