  1. Now that’s great analysis. Couldn’t agree more. I’m biased being a forward and a former forwards coach - I have never been comfortable with how we have leveraged our forward players to supplement our defence. And it really does impact how ‘easy’ it is for us to kick goals and get favourable match ups. I assume this will be addressed by the FD over the summer.
  2. Too many things up in the air with our draft capital and forward line predicament. Also coaching appointments may mean we are more attacking off HB, or with the wing position…
  3. That’s the answer dear listeners.
  4. This kind of ‘pile on’ was always coming once we went out is straight sets the way we did.
  5. People go crazy?
  6. People be starting threads on anything these days…
  7. This week? Probably go in with Briggs against Coll.
  8. Those of you trying to placate your own Dees bias is a bit rich; we knew what we were getting. A ruck who struggles forward coming to a team with the worst situation imaginable for that player; a better ruck and a dearth of healthy forwards to enable Grundy to play a small role in our forward line. It was a mistake from the point they spoke to Grundy last year. We may not be too adversely impacted from a long term or draft capital POV but I would have much preferred we spent $650k on forwards who might have been a chance to play the last two weeks Its ok, mistakes get made but can we just admit that and move on - some of you are contorting yourselves to avoid that admission.
  9. Yes, the AFL would love to see two northern state teams battling it out. All they care about is money and attention and that would bring both to markets that they need exposure in.
  10. Maybe someone should start a thread about trading James Jordon… for whom we should trade him for… how much he is WORTH in a TRADE. You know, simple thread about the simple concept of trading an OUT OF CONTRACT, UNRESTRICTED FREE AGENT
  11. He’s a natural forward in his prime that replaces Melksham. Takes pressure off Fritsch with his ability to mark and with Pickett to be at the fall of the ball.
  12. Burgo building more resilience…
  13. Um, I ain’t no big city lawyer but…

Yes, I much prefer to being this type of ‘embarrassment of a club’… Although I do hope those opposition supporters realise that when they call us chokers they are conceding we are better than them. Hopefully we assume our rightful place above them soon enough…
  15. Oh and Hanks. Jesus Christ. She is as clean as Clarry. Cleaner even… And she lowers her eyes… STOP IT RP! Yeah, you’re right. But how good are her little dinks and ‘Ablett jnr-esque’ movements?

Like a few - this is tough to do Saturday after the Friday night but there are always plenty when you win 16 regular season games. Rivers has taken a leap. Sparrow has continued his linear development. McVee and JVR are in their second year of footy and are best 18 players. Not only is that healthy for the future, it’s actually needed from a salary cap POV. Contest winning team - never out of games and always a chance. How great is it that we never get blown out - no team is safe against us (hence the choking references) Last quarter dominance - fitness is back to where it was in 2021 and we were running over the top of the ground at the end of games. Petracca is a beast that will make me rethink my ‘Oliver is the best player I have seen’ belief. He should just do what he wants during games - like Kate Hore - just go anywhere and do whatever but you have to be in the 50 for at least 40 minutes a game.

Top 4 at the end of the H&A… just saying… If port lose tonight we actually finished 6th…
  18. Bit sloppy at the back. But Gillard is so promising as a young tall back there. Once she realised she is in 2nd gear and jumps into 4th she will be amazing. Maddie Gay reminds me of a player who wore her number - G Lyon - put her anywhere and she will do what needs to get done - hope her hip isn’t too bad. AB didn’t look great so that’s a welcome surprise that it could just be a week. The commentators need to be a bit more aware of the moment - I am watching this game for the jumper but mainly because of a handful of amazing talents of which Bannan is on the podium - a knee injury could be more damaging to the sport, let alone our fortunes in the season or the day - wax lyrical about that for a bit.
  19. I might be a bit late, but… I ban on chairs? I won’t stand for it!
  20. I said ‘no worries’… Also, stop yelling my name, it’s weird
  21. I guess they are closer to the Equator
  22. If I am so clever why am I still your PA? WHY WONT YOU LET ME ADVANCE?
  23. Yeah, the sun came up. But it spraying it’s rays all over the place. So much wasted energy. And you just know that the Carlton Sun is going to pop up and just nail the solar panel…uh, yep, there it is, great… We did win on Expected Sun tho.
