  1. They changed the rule. Its not prior to take the ball from the ruck.
  2. 12 and 11 will see you spend September in Bali. And with the dead beats down the bottom and no dominant teams soaking up all the wins up top - I can see 14 wins being what 8 finishes with. With percentage playing a big part in order of places toward the top of the ladder.
  3. I think they are giving Petty and JVR time before the season heats up. I’m glad they are trying things. But whoever they want to go with - we can’t carry two young KPFs finding their way. Our only hope in my eyes is managing Brown to be there in August and September and make sure he can manage the load with one of them. And then get busy in October… maybe dangle ND6 at a few clubs…
  4. It’s not worth it. From calling Hunter cooked to intimating you would have subbed May or Lever instead of Turner - I will just assume it was an especially frustrating night and leave it at that.
  5. I think GC are building themselves around the contest like we did and results like this will happen.
  6. GC smashed us in the contest - that is our 1wood as the footy losers say. Still got 61 inside 50s… I don’t know, I think we got away with one there. I just hope we can recover, finish off Hawthorn with a quick kill and get ready for a tough month leading up to the bye. But I am feeling vindicated with my Petty and JVR can’t get it done for us forward in 2023. Keep it going another week but let’s get JVR a few weeks with Brown and see if he can provide a complimentary role. We must be chasing a tall forward hard in trades, it’s our only glaring immediate hole. But again, you lose the contest, the forwards are not getting the best service.
  7. What is this? For every good post of yours, there are five examples of stilted overreaction or wild misreads.
  8. Long term Tassie will be strong with the local youngsters being funnelled there. Immediately might be a bit down but Hobart is a great town, aside from the peak half hour traffic. People saying ‘blokes won’t want to live there’ are just patronising everyone in the scenario, including themselves.
  9. Hawks are expert tankers with a demeanour of ‘how dare you say we do what we are doing’… ND4 the best outcome for us. Which is great.
  10. I wouldn’t go that far but it was bemusing to me that we were obviously hurt and out of gas and our seconds won a flag a week later…
  11. I don’t see the tokenism? We are changing our name every year for a set period of time to respect First Nations people that lived in the area of Melbourne.
  12. Haha really? Yeah, Eddie would love to play a part in this. Islanders or Devils. Not a big fan of the big T on the jumper…Looks like a training jumper So great that this is happening though. So happy for Hobart.
  13. Also harder to get ‘lost’ closer to goal; always in the eye line for the last kick in, packs form and can be crashed - job done. But that puts pressure on Petty up the ground… And I am not saying that we shouldn’t put reps in to these two - we just have to be prepared for games where they are MIA.
  14. Ta. The Covid Years were a blur. Something happened with banging and I was happy then I fell asleep again I think for a few months with a fever.
  15. I have a slightly different take on this; GWS needs Canberra for a few decades to establish itself (yes, it may never happen) in WS. They have done a really good job with ingratiating themselves to the Canberra region. Canberra cannot survive a Raiders, Brumbies, and an AFL team. We would get 18k every second week, that’s not the problem, the problem is corporate support. I am told it’s exhausted already.
  16. Pretty schmick.
  17. Well we won’t know until the time either what the top 10 paid are. Also I heard that list sizes will go down 2 when Tassie comes in so that 25% may be altered.
  18. I might need reminding on the FA rules; is it any OOC player outside the top 25% earners after a certain number of years? How long has Jordon been around?
  19. I’m implying he’s 19 and played a lot back in his junior days, I give him a lot of time because it is the hardest position on the field but from what I can see (and it is hard on TV) his leading patterns are a bit odd and he sometimes run himself out of position.
  20. IMO it isn’t the best thing for JVR to have Petty and Gawn down there with him. Three blind mice all trying to act like they’re forwards.
  21. I agree with this?
