Gotta pay somebody. Literally, we HAVE to pay 95% of the ~$9.3m cap. That is how it is set up so that there are no more Fitzroys that just survive year to year paying two-thirds of what other teams pay. And as others have said - we frontloaded contracts under Schwab and that would be the only way we could do reach near 100% in 2015. So I assume we are doing that. None of this means that we have no cap to use in 2016 - only that we are paying near 100% in 2016.

Frankly, I don't mind keeping all 4 of these players, my issue is replacing the 36th to 40th players on your list with players who are in your best 18. Trading Grimes for Pick 43 doesn't interest me. Getting Dangerfield in FA however...

I'm baulking at it. The way the 'experts' talk up these kids belies the fact that the junior footy infrastructure has never delivered players further away from being ready for AFL then they do today. The gulf for these teenagers to bridge is so massive that I really do struggle to get excited by the so called 'best players' that we have access to with ND2 and ND3. We just don't know what talents we are getting. I am hopeful, but the hype makes me nauseous...
